Sorry, but I have to make just one more comment. Can Ruben PLEASE wear something that doesn't have the 205 area code on it? I know he's "representn" but we get the point. He seems like a great guy now I would like to see him in some great clothes.

I know I'm coming late to this discussion, but I have to add my thoughts! I still can't stand blonde Kimberly, and it's not because she's pretty . She has hardly any vocal range - she can't do anything beyond sultry and smokey (and she's rarely right on pitch). She's also "fake" and a total camera-hog.

I thought Trenyce and Rueben were the best two. Rueben sounds exactly like Luther Vandross!! THAT'S the big deal about him! He does have to lose those stupid 205 shirts, though. Trenyce showed mored restraint in her performance last night, and I thought she came across beautifully.

Carmen was pleasantly surprising. Vanessa tries too hard to be "crazy;" it's getting annoying. Clay and Josh have great voices, but I don't think Motown suits either of them. Julia just isn't gracious at all, and I don't like the "backtalk" to Simon. Her singing is only mediocre, too. The rest were just "meh," in my opinion. Good show last night, though!

He seems like a big, cuddly teddy bear, very likeable guy--but we already have one Luther Vandross and he isn't Luther. . . I do agree about the clothes. . .maybe he should hook up with the guy that was cut early on--he had a nice wardrobe and was a big guy, too!

I didn't think it was scripted. The cut away awfully fast after she said it. And Simon had just said something to her about being an entertainer and her comment to Ryan Seacrest was something like I'm an entertainer not a entertaining monkey or some kind of monkey like you. Maybe I thought she really said it on her own because I'm not too crazy about her.

Carmen did better than I expected. In her other performance her voice was shaking. This time she seemed to have more confidence.

I thought that Simon was kidding about Josh being "fat"! It's a stupid thing to say, lol!

I wonder who will get voted off!

And........please, no flames..........Tinkbell ducks.........Josh (I think it's great that he's a Marine and a good dad and husband, but I wouldn't buy his CD)

I think tonight it will be Charles or first Kimberly voted off.

for the person who asked which show Kim sang at, it was Country Tonite. I havent seen it since back in the days when Kim was there, but its mostly country music, with a pretty large cast of mostly younger singers.

I was pretty surprised that they let her on American Idol with that history, I wonder if they only disqualify they if they've had a contract?

By the way, I can probably dig up some fun yearbook pictures of her if anyone is interrested

I think DH and I saw her in this show!!! When you first mentioned Branson my first thought was a blond girl that sang at Country Tonite but I didn't want to post the name of the theater for fear that it would influence your memory.

If it is the same girl she was pretty impressive because DH and I still remember her.
