I agree that he's very talented. To me, it just seems a bit like a theatrical performance.
How does he look? Every week he seems to have a different look.( I was thinking the same thing about Lil last night.) I haven't seen any pictures of him before Idol with his hair slicked back but I may have missed them.
I hope that you don't think that I'm being closed minded. I haven't seen or heard of the campaign.
No, I didn't mean you at all! Or anyone specifically. I'm just saying that while he did glam it up for a lot of his pre-idol performances, that's not the defining factor of who he is. There are also videos and pictures of him out there looking exactly how he does now. And if he did come out really glam, which I'd love!, there are people who would be in a uproar over it, even though being glam has nothing to do with being gay in all reality.
I don't think he has a completely different look every week... sometimes his hair's back and sometimes it's down

Every performer out there who wants to be entertaining changes it up all the time. I don't see anything drastic - he didn't look like a rock star the first week and a cowboy country week
He's definitely theatrical, too, but I love that. I'm a huge fan of Broadway and the theater to begin with, but I also love glam rock and performers who really put on shows. Queen's one of the greatest bands of all time, and The Killers are also one of my all-time favorites, and they both put on awesome, theatrical shows. Elton John and Cher are my number 1 favorite entertainers ever, and you can't beat their shows! Then there's The Rolling Stones, David Bowie, Kiss, Twisted Sister, The Scissor Sisters, Mika, The Darkness... they all put on awesome, over-the-top, theatrical shows and are so entertaining. I love bands like that, and there's a huge fan base for those kinds of performers. It's something most people are into or they're not though, there's not much middle ground. If it's not you're thing it's just not you're thing
