American Idol Top 4 Idol Chatter and Idle Chatter

You can be critical all you want about Kris, you were making a comment about his fans about them being young

No, you misunderstood me.

I said I don't think I've ever been young enough to find a guy that young looking attractive. He looks like a prepubescent child to me, NOT that that's a bad thing, just not my type.

I made a big deal last year about being a COUGAR for Cook and Mike Johns! :lmao: They were half my age but they looked like men. I'd feel like a pedophile finding Kris cute!

Okay Robin, it took us a year but we FINALLY found you...

.

For the record, my 16yo son is in advanced chorus and the entire choir was upset about Adam losing, and these are 14 -18 yo kids. He told me his teacher was so upset it was all he talked about yesterday.:sad1:

My son, otoh, hasn't watched the show since Jasmine left!!! ;)

:lmao: I'm going to get myself in trouble at work today laughing at this.

So were my daughters little 8 and 9 year old friends-they all said they were voting over and over for Kris..... my daughter on the other hand cried her eyes out when Adam lost, he was her favorite!

What a great daughter you have! :thumbsup2

I wish I would have had at least one student in that class support Adam, but alas, I did not.

GITD -R-DONEADAM!

The Star Spangled Banner - done so beautifully

And for those who allege the screaming is too much for them:

Beauty.... straight beauty.

My lawd that's pretty.

Oh goodness gracious....those are absolutely pure magic! What an incredibly beautiful and trained voice. How can anyone not see and hear his enormous talent??? :confused3

I know everyone is different, but for me (channeling Randy now), Kris just leaves me with no feeling one way or the other. Adam...I am left absolutely speechless with each performance. Adam is the one idol contestant that has touched me in some way with every song. (Well, even Ring of Fire but that was more nausea than anything else.) I cannot wait to see where Adam goes from here.

I really think that his guyliner, nails, and misunderstood "screaching" went against him. Middle conservative America doesn't seem to be able to get past that. It's a shame really.

Those of you who are regular readers of this thread, please excuse me for being repetitive. I think that this is just so beautiful. If you liked Adam in the above songs, listen to Adam sing "The Prayer" in this link http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iu_dPnRzbRQ

:rotfl: :rotfl: Well, at the risk of sounding like a pedophile then, I think Kris is adorable. He totally had me last night on Leno when he said he played the viola all through high school. That makes him a colleaugue :cheer2:

Whether I'll buy his songs or not, Kris himself is as awesome a person as Adam. In all his interviews he is so gracious and gentle. Best of all, he frequently points out that he doesn't judge anyone for what they are (despite his devout Chrisitianity) and he and Adam want to be the example for how Americans with different values and beliefs can find common ground and be best friends. It's a lesson for us all.

That is awesome to hear. I never doubted he's a nice guy, just not my cup of tea.

I will buy his songs. It's all about the music to me.
And I really don't get the Adam vs Kris stuff, anyway. Adam, at heart is a showman. Kris at heart is a musician. There is plenty of room in the music biz for both.
They are on different ends of the spectrum, but they both will do quite well.
Music aside, Kris and Adam have shown admirable character during the competition, and beyond.
No one like a spoiled brat, ( the music business certainly has it's fair share of that type ) and it's refreshing to see two young men that are able to be successful, appreciative and gracious.:thumbsup2

...funny that you mentioned that - I can't get over how unbelievably gracious Adam has been since the 'Idol' winner announcement....

I agree with everything you said except for RoF. THat was the song that really got me! I loved it. When he hit that note.. I just threw my hands up in the air and rejoiced! What a moment! Sometimes things take a time or two to sink in. Maybe if you heard it again? Or maybe it's just somethin' that is what it is. :)

I'm new here and hadn't seen that (I skipped it on youtube as I thought it was the wicked song again) so thank you!

A viola player?? I like him just a little bit more now. I'm a MAJOR Adam fan, now I have reason to like Kris a bit. (String teacher here:rotfl:)

Adam did a good job. I love that song. It was sung at my high school graduation, the girl singing actually tried out for Idol a few years ago http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NpnJCzf6XI4

I think the version I like best of that song is with Charlotte Church in the female lead and Andrea Boccelli in the male lead. Too bad they don't sing together.
