Exactly! Don't let them try out until they are older OR don't pick them to go through...oh wait...putting 16-17 years olds on the show draws a certain age group to watching the show...which means votes!

I always wonder that when they complain about the younger contestants not having enough experience and being to young.

I really like Katie during her first audition and at that time was looking forward to hearing more from her but now I do not care for her at all. Her voice is not that great, very nasal and she picks songs that are too big for her.
