American Idol Top 20 Season 9

...What a useless, talentless, uninspired cast. I'll watch...or not, this season. It'll be no skin off by butt if I miss something, but watching the debacle...the inevitable crash and burn, could be worth tuning in for.

And what's REALLY great is that the judges have no one to blame but THEMSELVES. When they're sitting there on that little judges' dais wanting to scratch their own eyes out and desperately wanting to buy a season's supply of earplugs... :lmao:

I think I'm going to change up my signature and maybe add a line about "I remember when American Idol didn't SUCK".

agnes!

Hey, is there any way that we can all just watch maybe Canadian Idol instead? I am certain their contestants this year can't be as bad as the American version is.

gack.
agnes!

Lol. Canadian Idol ended a few years ago. I think this may be it for this one too.

I had to rewind and watch over but Lilly's expression when they told her she was cut, was like "I know I just heard that wrong". I didn’t like her so I’m glad she is gone and I think she did not really make a connection. I think the young ones are there because that is probably who is doing most of the voting. No one really knocks my socks of. It’s pretty darn boring. Wish they would snap out of it and get better. Sadly, I don’t think they will.

Ahhh, the old days....

My co workers and I were talking about this today. You'd think David and Adam were 19 years ago!!!

Australian rocker Orianthi, whose single "According to You" is steadily climbing the U.S. charts (it's No. 17 on the Billboard Hot 100), will be the guest performer on next week's elimination episode, Idol Tracker has learned.
You may recall seeing the guitar virtuoso all over Michael Jackson's "This Is It" documentary -- she was his touring guitar player -- but this 24-year-old Adelaide native actually got her break by backing Carrie Underwood at the 2009 Grammy Awards (check out the performance of "Last Name" below).
Orianthi, who is managed by 19 Entertainment, also recently joined Mary J. Blige, "Idol" judge Randy Jackson, drummer Travis Barker and her personal Idol, Steve Vai, to record a cover of Led Zeppelin's "Stairway to Heaven." Read all about it here, and tune in next week to witness Orianthi's killer licks for yourself.

Thanks for the info, Miss Mandy! I don't particularly care for the single, but the girl seems to have some definite credentials under her belt.

I'll watch but probably only if there's nothing else on. I think all four should have stayed. I'd rather Paige, Katelyn (isn't she the girl with the long dark hair), Urban and that other guy (can't remember his name at the moment) gone.

Katelyn was eliminated. She was the girl with the curly hair. Katie is the girl with the long dark hair.

I agree with you on Paige. I just don't get her.

We had to rewind and re-watch Lilly's expression. We were never fans of hers. As a matter of fact, her voice reminded me of Meghan Joy from last year and we didn't like her either.

The only ones that I really like are Crystal and Lee but maybe it's because I'm old and don't recognize a lot of the songs that the others are singing. ;)

Lilly reminded me of the albino from the Princess Bride. I couldn't find a good picture of him to do a separated at birth, but I'm sure Kimmar or Robin can.

I'm not ready to write the season off yet. I love watching Idol, I haven't found it as boring as a lot have...but maybe it's because I like the songs they've been picking. :confused3 I haven't like some of the song choices that some of the people have made.

I have not (and don't like still) some of the singers on there...there are certain kinds of voices that just do not appeal to me at all...and yes Lily is one of them. I don't like quirky...and I just thought she trashed her song this week. It was one of the worst things I have heard on Idol and that includes the bad auditions. :scared1:

MY feeling is that we will see some good performances out of this top 12...hoping a few good weeks with stop all the negativity around here. ;)

I'm really glad Lilly got kicked off now. I know it's got to be heart breaking to have your dreams of fame and fortune dashed, but she's being a poor loser. Here are some quotes from an interview she did:
"my voting demographic is probably people who don't even own a TV and if they do, they're probably out doing something more productive than watching TV, let alone American Idol!"
"I know there's a fanbase out there that's loving what I'm doing and that's not necessarily the voting demographic of American Idol. I thought maybe I could break the mold, but it's just another season of the same old stuff!"

Wow, I guess those of us who watch Idol are just a bunch of losers, rather than her actually stinking like a big pile of dog poo.

:lmao: Ok, hon. Whatever you need to say to ease the hit on your ego a bit.

David Cook tweeted that he is going to on March 17th as well.

Cuz it's FRIDAY!!!

My entire office gets a break on Fridays, it's the slow work day of the week. We ordered out chinese food and we're having a buffet!! We're setting up long tables for everyone to sample. Several people are bringing in ice cream and cakes. We're even inviting those RADIO people from across the hall :lmao:, we're the TV side!

So far I have so many gifts, balloons, baskets and FOOD I can barely walk in my office. This is amazing because this was my very first birthday with this company, I started last April.

What a happy place to work!!:cool1:

....very kewl! :thumbsup2

Hey guys. Finally caught up. Lilly leaving was SO FUNNY! :lmao: I've had one of the worst weeks of my life, so that laugh was much needed!

And finally.... HAPPY BIRTHDAY ROBIN!!! :)

Well, all I have to say to that is good riddance. Way to make yourself look good. :rotfl: All she succeeded in doing is making herself sound like a sore loser

Sound like? hmmmmph....Lilly IS a sore loser ::yes:: AND based on her little on-stage temper tantrum and her subsequent behavior she probably alienated a lot of people in the recording industry who otherwise *might* have wanted to work with her.

Memo to Lilly:
Hey sweetie...This particular demographic won't be buying any of your stuff. Happy? GOOD.

But all will be right...David Cook will be onstage at the Idol on Wednesday...and I'll actually be able to stay in the room and watch an episode of Idol this season.

agnes!
