Honestly, NOT winning was the best thing that could've happened to him. Same for Adam. They simply needed the springboard, that's it. (Seriously, I'm really not a big Daughtry fan!)


I kinda like the female verion of Taylor Hicks!

i love when people say that when their favorites lose.... eta: i didn't mean you, i meant anyone who says that when their favorites lose, btw...because i've heard it often

anyway, Adam...another one who thinks quite highly of himself. i just wish someone would give these guys a reality check once in a while.

I think that some develop the attitude because they are constantly being told how great they are...they start believing everything the hanger ons tell them. You know those people that tell you whatever you want to hear so they can "hang on" to the fame right along with you.

I agree Robin. I love this song, I think it has a great message and it is a timeless classic. But I think it needs to be retired from this show. After Adam sang it last year, no one will ever be able to do it justice (for me) again.

It has nothing to do with whether or not my favorite AI contestant wins. Winning AI does not equal success. Cue Fantasia, Ruben, Kris, and Taylor. I do not think winning AI is the most important thing to come from it. The EXPOSURE is.

Taylor Hicks was fun to watch on the show but he disappeared not long afterwards. Daughtry has gone really big. Who knows how far Adam will go. I like him better now than when he was on the show.

I think in most cases, it's true. Look at Jennifer Hudson and Daughtry. They're far more successful than a lot of the past winners. Other than Carrie Underwood and Kelly Clarkson, what winner has really done anything all that successful?

Kris is still too early in his career to tell just yet, didn't his album JUST come out??

Justin Guarini didn't do much, but Kelly is still going strong.

David Cooks did pretty well with his album/tour, David Archuleta....haven't heard much from him lately, tbh.

Jordin Sparks(ugh) is still doing well, Blake isn't

Carrie Underwood is winning AWARDS and Bo Bice is....where is he, actually??
