American Idol Season 9

Robin this is no different than any other year..there is always manufactured drama and garbage. This year is is more obvious but maybe it's because we are all getting so used to it that we pick it up quicker and see it for what it is.


I think that the worst reaction I ever saw was when Daughtry got voted off...his face was priceless and they had the camera close up on him too.

I don't see this years talking about Mike and his baby etc any worse than parading Fantasia's little girl up to the stage for a kiss from Mommy..while mommy had tears in her eyes. This show is the master at trying to manipulate votes.

I still always remember what it is above all us....a reality TV show that is scripted and the singers are all willing pawns in the game. They are just willing to play the game to try and get their big break.

The difference was I liked Fantasia, and Mike makes me barf...

I know it's the same ol' same ol... still ticks me off because so many people still believe in it. It's like Santa Claus or the Easter bunny.... fantasy that we keep trying to believe in because it makes us feel better.

I found this thread on page 3, PROOF positive of how passion-less this season has become. What a waste... I miss the old fun days!

The difference was I liked Fantasia, and Mike makes me barf...

I LOVED Fantasia, she is one of my favorite AI contestants There is something about Big Mike that bugs me, I can't put my finger on it though...Maybe it's because he isn't that good of a singer yet the judges fawn over him hoping he'll go far, for ratings sake. While with Fantasia, she was a great performer, and the judges all genuinely liked her & were pulling for her.

OK This it TOTALLY OT....mostly...but it does pertain to the Cougar Club..OMG, we just signed on with a new lawn service and the technicaian just came to the door ...OMG! Tim who? lucky me my PC desk window is overlooking the back lawn...this summer is gonna be Niiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiicce! I think I may have to add a few scheduled lawn treatments to the program, it's out dog you see...he is just RUINING the lawn...yeah, and our shrubs, they need a fertilizer plan, heck, maybe we need to meet to discuss options...If I had a pic I owld postit..but I draw the line at stalking and posting w/out consent...but trust me ladies, my afternoon just got a whole lot better! I feel like Gabby on Desperate housewives lol.....

see, I KNEW that was the reason....you and I are on totally opposite sides of who we like every year (except for DC). I hated Fantasia...but I like Mike.
