Yes, Joe Jonas was kind of blah. But, he can't mar that "sweet boy" persona or he risks losing fans. He's the "nice guy."

So, yes, I was kind of bored with him as a judge. But I understand why he was like that.

I actually thought the past two seasons or so that the audtion rounds were really well balanced. They showed a lot of good singers and just a few of the bad ones (and then usually just in those montages which I admit do crack me up). This year it seems like they shifted back to showing mainly the bad ones. And enought with the dumb back stories! They are really forcing it. I HATE THAT!

I really hope Hollywood week is better.

Just catching up. i wasn't crazy with the two judges on Tuesday night. Contestants should be judged on singing talent alone, not whether or not their family/job/whatever situation can handle the time away. That should not be the guest judges concern.

....well, at least these losers are tamer than the rejects in Chicago....

Several of the losers that they said were from Chicago were actually from Orlando. There were palm trees and shots of the Amway Center in the background of some of the rejects that were said to be from the Chicago auditions.

I personally would prefer to see only the good singers or the ones who are right on the bubble. However I do realize a lot of people do watch for and enjoy the bad auditions as well. I know they want to appeal to as many viewers as possible to keep the ratings up. I just thought the balance was much better the last two seasons. I can concede seeing a few bad ones if they showed most of the good ones, but they barely show any of them this year!

And maybe they should call the nekkid contestant "Full Monty". I know that sometimes the producer/screeners put these people through because they know it'll rile up the judges. I love it when Simon's eyes practically fall out of his head as a bikini (or girl with a whip lol) walks in the room or when a baaaaaaaaaaaaad singer starts screeching.

She didn't get to audition in front of the judges. They just in passing showed some footage of her leaving, but that was after auditioning for the producers.
