I watched some of last season on Reality TV. But to keep this Idol related as well, Anoop has recorded three songs today in Nashville!

Umm...me too!! I was not a huge fan of Love Don't Live Here at first but you are right, it is great!! I also really like Lookin' For a Good Time.

Sorry to get OT, back to American Idol...saw some commercials last night while we were watching Fox Reality. Can't wait to see what they are calling "the most arrogant contestant ever."

Hey y'all! I just wanted to mention something, because I think we need a Dis contingent help on this - on that commercial that you mentioned, there's a clip of a guy hugging his mom - that would be my friend, Mike, and he is going to be on next season. Depending on how far he makes it, I would love for you all to root for and support him!

He and my boyfriend have been friends since high school, and I've known him since middle school, since we all did drama together. He's a great kid, and was going to join the Marines before he got this opportunity.

I hope we'll all be rooting for him come the final show!

Hi all...I can't wait for the show to start! Haven't been on the boards much lately so I was very happy to see the Idol thread up and running.

I am looking forward to Ellen being on the show...at least we know she'll probably be up and dancing just like Paula did. I read that she won't be there until Hollywood weeks but will be watching tapes of the auditions to stay up to date.


And in other Idol news I read today that Jason "I'm thinkin' Marley" got married.

Hey all! I'm so excited for American Idol to start. I'm getting married in 10 days and then off to my honeymoon for 2 weeks so I'll probably be missing out the first couple weeks. But that's ok because it's for good reason.

Anyways, I'll definitely miss Paula even though she annoyed the crap out of me. But I'm definitely excited to see how Ellen will do. My mom (who vowed she can't watch again because she's still mad over last season) said she might actually try to watch just because of Ellen.

Anoop is singing the National Anthem before the UNC basketball game tonight. They don't usually show that, but since it is on Fox and they are pimping AI right now, speculation in our newspaper is that we may get to see him sing. I'll at least be listening on the radio.

Haha, I totally failed on that PTR. Sad!!! Instead, my plan is do a far better TR one than the August one...complete w/ lots of food porn and all that good stuff!

Here is hoping we get to see a bunch of the good singers this season and not have so much focus on the bad ones. I thought they did a fairly good job during the auditions last year but some seasons are horrible! I hate getting to hollywood week and only recognizing a few of the pimped contestants.
