Season 9 starts next Tuesday! Top 24 format is back instead of format from last season.

Here we are again - another year older.

I know few people agree with me, but I can't wait to see Ellen as a judge. People talk about her lack of musical experience, but look at us.... if we can sit here and critique each show as eloquently as we do (and we DO), then nothing wrong with Ellen sitting in.

Yes I am here! I've already got a few favorites picked out for this season depending if they make it past Hollywood. I'm missing one night of auditions, gosh darn so sad.

I like Ellen, too. I might actually watch past the audition rounds this year. I get bored when EVERYbody is good so maybe Ellen will keep me entertained. I think she'll bring a bit of the public opinion to it, too, instead of getting all musically technical. Sometimes there just needs to be someone that says "That's good, I'd buy it" or "That's not so good..." rather than getting into all the tone and rhythm and all that.

Watching 12 days count down of american idol right now, they are showing last season.

I'm excited for the new season to start I sure hope Ellen is good. In this house we are going to miss Paula.
