I guess seniority means nothing in picking songs. I think he's doing okay, but I really love this song. I hate John Mayer as a person, but this song is just really emotional to me (as the mom to 2 daughters.)

i've liked John Mayer before he started saying stupid stuff on twitter and what-not. but he really IS a good musician. i've seen him live a few times and he's amazing, espically when he's just jamming on his guitar and when he starts playing some bluesy type stuff.

altho lately i haven't liked much of his newer stuff so i haven't seen him live in a while.

I'd settle with just him staring at the screen tenderly for a few seconds, simply say "Hi there..." and then fade to black. Then the title comes on screen "The Gentle Powers of David Cook..."
