I thought the same thing! I think he was wearing make-up last night and his bald head just looked weird.

Like everyone else, I was disappointed last night. Most of the guys didn't have a strong voice. I hope they do better next week.

Did anyone else laugh at Chris Richardson when he first started singing? Something about the way he was bouncing up and down made my husband and I LOL. I could tell he started feeling more comfortable the longer he was up there.

I am just getting to read and post. I am so far behind. UGH!

OK, my favorite last night was Blake. Chris S. was second favorite, but I am afraid he has now made an enemy with Simon. I hope it doesn't affect the rest of the season! I also liked Phil, but I have to watch him with my eyes closed. His looks are too creepy for me.
I really liked Rudy before last night. However, his performance didn't stand out. The rest of them were "just ok" (as Simon says). I don't like Chris R. He bobs his head too much for me. I think he is too much of a Justin wanna-be.

DH's favorite is Sundance. He wasn't home to see Hollywood week (out of town for work) so he doesn't understand how far Sundance has fallen from that first performance.

I loved Chris Sligh's comments to Simon, BUT, yeah I think that'll hurt him in the lnog run. Too bad, he seems to be one of the stronger voices.

I agree Chis Sligh has the best voice but I dont really think his comments will hurt him...1st he is not the 1st that has talked back to Simon, 2nd Simon can handle it, 3rd I believe he will get a boost in his votes by sparring with Simon and finally ryan was egging everyone on to strike back at the judges....I see nothing wrong with Chris Sligh speaking his mind, Simon can do it why not Chris...

BTW, I agree with your Blake/Chris S comment. Brandon was just OK for me. Personally I can't wait to see Lakisha sing tonight. That girl's got some serious pipes!

I absolutely 100% agree with you! Yuck, yuck, and yuck! My least favorite idol ever, from the worst season ever!

P.S. I guess that could be somewhat taken as a spoiler since a lot of us know which season I am referring to. I am sorry, I really am trying to be good about spoilers (even though I love them!) but I just can't word that any differently to show my true horror of seeing this person perform again! I am so hoping that spoiler is wrong and it will be someone else!

Your post actually made me go back and look at my AI notes from last season. (Yes, it's official. I'm a total AI geek. ) During the very first show we were treated to Chris singing Wanted Dead or Alive, Ace singing Father Figure, Elliott singing If You Really Love Me, and Taylor singing Levon. These were great performances right off the bat. If you add in the girls' first performances, we also had Paris singing Midnight Train to Georgia and Mandisa singing Never. There were no performances last night that came close to any of those, even the couple I liked.

I voted for Blake, whom I enjoyed a lot. Of course, I really like Somewhere Only We Know so he had a definite advantage with me on that one. I also voted for Chris Sligh, who was good. I sort of recognized that song he sang. Who's the original artist on that one? Although I didn't vote for them, I think Brandon has a good voice and was just shaky. I hope he makes it through to next week. Jared was pitchy and shaky to me, but comes across as very poised and does have a pleasant voice so hopefully he'll be back too. The other eight could all go home as far as I'm concerned.

Vote for the Worst is going to have a hard time this season. They have SO many choices!

Edited to Add: I see from the other thread that VFTW has already selected Sundance as their choice. Based on last night's performance, I can't really argue with them. Too bad though, his original audition was really good. Hopefully he'll go back to that bluesy style.
