I found last night's episode to be not as nasty as week one. Yeah they were still raggin on some of the contestants but there didn't seem to be as much venom. I also liked the fact that the horrible to some promise ratio seemed to be more balanced.
Unlike the judges, I liked Frank the cheerleader. But alas, no votes for the general public yet. And who knew that Memphis had it's own language?
OK, now some serious talent but can we embrace an idol named Sundance Head?

Can I smack Simon for his comment that Mr. Head would "blow Taylor out of the water"? Umm, I don't think so.
We had a sweet young thing who's girls were in town.

And during the Burning Love skit the

moment of the night with that guy pulling a hanky out of his fly.

That made me laugh for about an hour.
I enjoyed Shawn, the hairy guy although not to the point the judges did. The background singer was also one of the better talents of the night. She needs some confidence adjusting.
Finally there was the new dad. Except for the marriage/children baggage, he certainly "Looked" like an American Idol. He can thank Chris from last year for doing away with the
if you're married, you can't win the ladies hearts mindset. Actually he could probably thank John Lennon for that but I digress. He was quite good but like the rest of last night's talent, no one person blew me away.
Guess we'll have to see if the Big Apple can deliver big talent. My hopes are still set with Birmingham for another Idol winner.
Oh, and as always, JMHO.
