I find it sad that they feel the need to ruin the finale by bringing on the "bad" auditions. I had to explain to my DD (who's 6) that they are making fun of these people and that it is not funny nor is it appropriate and it is the one thing I dislike about AI. I actually change over to LOST during these segments.

My kids are older and when they showed the picture of the bushbaby and told that poor kid that he is a sponsor of one in a zoo now, they were all going "oMG...how can they be so cruel to that guy" I didn't really watch too many of the audition shows because I dislike that they are showcasing the bad singers and basically making fun of them. That broke my heart. I was so glad they at least let him sing for them, even though he knew he wasn't going anywhere. It really moved me.
