American Idol Season 6: The Official Thread Part 3

I believe she said that she was going to get ready to audition at 16, we don't know when her birthday is, so I'm sure this was probably the first year she could have audtioned, since they auditioned nearly 9 months ago.... so she was probably 16 when she auditioned last summer.....

I just found out today Blake is 25 :happytv: Wonder why they never mentioned it :rotfl:

Last night it showed her auditioning with braces on. Did she have them this year when she auditioned or was that from last year maybe?

I misunderstood her when she said that she THOUGHT about AI on her 16th birthday. I thought she said that she was going to audition on her birthday.

There are 3 pictures. 1 with Sinbad, 1 with Randy and 1 with Simon.

I saw only Sinbad and Simon. But since she's been professionally singing for a few years, I'd not be surprised at anyone she's met. That is funny that she had her picture taken with both Simon/Randy in the past.

Okay, I just saw the pic posted which was with Sinbad and then people started talking about Randy and I had no idea where it came from.

I can only see red Xs on my screen. Is there another link somewhere?

I only saw the Sinbad picture at first.
Try this:
Right click on the X, then click on "show picture". It may take a few seconds (longer if you have dial-up), but it will usually come up. If not, try refreshing your screen and that may do it. Also, you may have to do this a few times, but eventually I always get the picture to come up. Good luck!

Yes, he was. I was wondering if it was a tape though because after he performed Blake & Jordin hugged each other. They happened to be in the same outfits that they were in at the beginning of last nights' show when they did the coin flip to see who would sing first.

I thought they did the coin flip at the end of last week's episode after Melinda was voted off. :confused3

Yes, the coin toss was last week and then they hugged afterwards, that is what we saw at the end of Daughtry's song. So you are not going crazy, it was a tape.

It's 16.

Didn't they act as if they'd never seen her before in her audition???

They probably didn't meet her professionally before. Looks like she might have been at a taping (same outfit and little brother is there..lots of people in the background of Simons picture). If those were taken in 2004 I'm guessing they (Simon and Randy) would not remember some fan they had their picture taken with at a taping. I'm thinking that if she really "knew" them and they thought that she had talent they would have just helped her out and not put her on the show, heck Simon could have just signed her up.

Well, funny enough, apparently she tried out in LA & DID NOT make it to even see the judges.... then she won a contest (to audition) & went to Seattle determined to make it to see the judges I think... Just imagine all the talent that doesn't even get in to see them... Clay was passed over on his first audition as well...

Lewis and Clarkson: Who Will and WON'T Perform Tonight

Kelly Clarkson may be feuding with her label head Clive Davis, but she's got nothing but love for "American Idol."

TMZ has learned that Kelly -- and all winners from seasons past, except Fantasia -- will be back performing on the "American Idol" stage for tonight's finale.

Clarkson, Ruben Studdard, Carrie Underwood and Taylor Hicks are headed to the Kodak Theater, but Fantasia Barrino won't be, since she is headlining Oprah Winfrey's production of "The Color Purple" on Broadway.

Sources tell TMZ Gladys Knight will perform "Midnight Train to Georgia" with the top six female finalists, while Smokey Robinson will join the top six male finalists for a rendition of "Ooh Baby Baby." Most recently booted finalist Melinda Doolittle will sing with brother and sister gospel duo BeBe and CeCe Winans, while the hairiffic Sanjaya duets with Aerosmith's Joe Perry to the Kinks' "You Really Got Me." It's sure to be an unbeweavable night!

Beat-boxing finalist Blake Lewis will show off his mad skillz against rapper Doug E. Fresh, and then duet with fellow finalist and probable winner, Jordin Sparks, to the Beatles' "I Saw Her Standing There." Since producers were able to finally get clearance to use Beatles music, a medley of Fab Four hits will be performed as well.

Luckily, we're told no one is expected to be exhumed a la Elvis on tonight's finale!

UPDATE: A well-placed source tells TMZ that anti-establishment rockers Green Day sold out and will be on the "American Idiot" "Idol" finale too!
