Why is everyone saying Mandisa won't win this?

She is this season's Ruben IMO. Ruben was flawless week after week, and I am seeing that, so far, Mandisa, week after week seems to be the stand out.

Yes, I thought for sure Ruben's size would eventually knock him out, but he went all the way, and you can debate Ruben vs. Clay all you want, but Ruben got the votes to name him the winner. The votes were there! It proved to Simon that people don't care what a person's size or look is, if they can sing, people will love them!

So far, Mandisa has not been in the bottom anything, and it does not look like she will be, for a very long time, so why won't she win? I think she IS going to win.

EXACTLY...I loved Ruben....and he deserved and earned the win...as for Mandisa she may be this years Ruben but she is going against better overall talent and what I consider more split lines of favorites....But I like her every week but not personally my favorite for the season as Ruben was....I am a Taylor fan this season....but If its Ace or just about anyone else and Mandisa final 2...I pull for her....

I don't care if Chris is singing cover-songs, the alphabet, or the phone book...he is still the best performer/artist in the entire group. Deal with it dudes! He never claimed he arranged the song himself, he said it was a different version (sure he didn't correct them when they said he made it his own, but none of you would either).

He is great at what he does but he is not the best vocalist in the group....Mandisa, Taylor and Katherine and maybe Lisa for that matter....get him out of his element and lets here him sing...

She sure did. ROFL!!! I think that Ryan asked her if she learned anything new this past week or had any fun. That's when she got the deer in the headlights look yesterday & couldn't come up with a single thing to say except that her eyelashes were better. ROFL!

I thought it was gonna be Lisa....I would have hated to see her go, but I dont think she is gonna get another chance to connect with America....She has a great voice but is young and timid to let a show I think....I am so glad to see Kevin go....

Ryan made reference to the music of the 21st century at the end of the show...I thought it was a remark about now kevin can sing music from the 21st century. Anyone with DVR or Tivo that can replay the end?

I really expected to see Lisa go home tonight even though I think she's a pretty decent singer most of the time. I'm personally glad that Bucky stayed because I wanted him in the top 10. I suppose that he will be VFTW's new choice now.

Nope looks like they're going with Kellie. I'm surprised seems like a rather safe choice given Kellie's apparent large fan base.

she had it pulled too much towards her forehead and it was so obvious.
last night she had it back more and it looked more natural.

she looked absolutely hideous! the wig was too dark and too obvious. it's actually fun to watch her struggle to come up with new words and descriptions. her vocabulary is so limited!

Did anyone else catch the way the contestants were being really rude when Barry was singing? They were laughing at someone & then kept talking. Lisa had a pathetic clap when he was finished singing too. It looked like her hands were glued together except for just her finger tips as she barely moved them apart to clap.

Well, think of Lisa. She is 16 years old. What 16 year old in there right mind would actually admit to liking Barry?

On my Tivo copy, I saw Katherine mouth "Bobby!", Then Mandisa saw him as well, and said "Bobby's over there, or Bobby's there" . Lisa with her lack of clapping seemed really on edge.


I'm sure these contestants have internet access and can read dialidol and other website predicitions. Dialidol had Elliot dead last. Notice how Ryan did his trail along thing with it? Elliot I'm sure read the dialidol results. Elliots girlfriend is a poster on twop forums, so she states he read twop. Twop has an entire threads devoted to dialidol.

Bobby was one of the top 24 and he sung Barry Manilow and was voted off pretty early on in the game.

OMG... Barry Manilow's face is so tight I'm surprised he can blink!!!!

I must admit, I was totally wrong. I didn't think Kevin would go after his "When I fall in love" speech. Too bad for such a nice kid. I never thought he'd even get the chance to be in the top 12. He should be proud!

I actually have to say that I really like Kellie at first, but I think she is playing the Jessica Simpson card WAYYYYY too much. The whole 'I'm a dumb blonde girl from the south' thing is getting old REAL FAST.

It's weird how off DialIdol was on this one. I wouldn't expect them to be exactly right but they had Elliott so low that it really seemed like he'd end up in the bottom group. The other three were right though so they deserve credit for that at least.

No, they weren't being rude. They were watching Bobby in the audience. They showed him standing up (when everyone around him is seated) and he is just in Fanilow heaven. He looked incredibly funny. That's what they were all laughing at.

They show Katharine say, "Look at Bobby!"
