He just said he wasn't a fan of his music but after he got to work with him, he realized what a genius he was.

I don't think most men are fans of Barry's music, are they?

Even though he was being honest and he ended it on a positive note, when Elliott said that, I thought, "oh noooooooooooooo." It was not a smart thing to say.

I'm really, really, REALLY, disappointed to hear that I walk the line was done by Live. When I heard what Chris was going to do I had dh come in so that I could ask him if anyone else had done a cover of it. Dh is a BIG Johnny Cash fan and a rocker guy so I figured he'd know. He didn't think anyone else had done it. Before I found out it had been done before I thought Chris rocked the house! I was totally impressed (as was dh, which is saying a lot considering it's AI). But now, not so much. I haven't heard Live's version. I tried to find it online but no go. Too bad, I'm bummed. With that being said, I hope he doesn't win either. I think he's going to make it w/o AI and will be better off not having those limitations. Most "rocker guys" including my dh wouldn't have anything to do with someone who won AI.

I thought Katharine was phenomenal tonight.

Taylor was alright I guess, but I thought it was disappointing. He's better than that.

I thought Kellie finally done a good job. I think it's the best she has done so far. Not sure how much of a compliment that is since I'm not much of a fan.....PLEASE fire her makeup artist! It's awful! She looks like a $2 dollar hooker! Just layers and layers and layers of makeup.....ughh...

Ace, oh how I want to like him. Tonight was better than previous weeks, but not nearly "Father Figure" caliber. I'm starting to think it was a fluke.

Mandisa looked gorgeous! I like Bucky but I thought he was waaayy out done tonight. Still not sure about Elliot. He sounds great, seems like a really nice guy and seems truly grateful to be there but....I just can't put my finger on it. I just don't connect or something.

My bottom 3-Lisa, Paris (just NOT a fan), and unfortunately Bucky. Or Kevin? Can't decide???? I think Lisa or Bucky will go home. Kevin has the fan base to keep him there.

I thought that several sounded off tonight. I missed Chris and Paris so I can't comment on them. I already admitted that Bucky was off but I didn't like Kevin, Lisa, Elliott, Kellie or Ace. Kevin has a large fan base so he's likely safe. I think that Elliott is usually much better so he'll probably get enough votes. Ace is a hard call but he may pull it out. Kellie is probably safe. Soooo... Bucky or Lisa. I'm going to say Lisa because I think that Bucky has usually done well while Lisa is just about always eh.

DialIdol has bottom three as Bucky, Kevin, and Elliot. Lisa is right behind them. I'd have to say I pretty much agree with that.

My thoughts:
Mandisa- love her as a person, good singer, don't think she'll win
Bucky- I think he secured himself a place in the bottom 3
Paris- annoys me personally, but did a good job with this song
Chris- loved him initially, but it is starting to sound the same every week...
Katherine- beautiful and easily the best female vocalist. I hope in the final 2
Taylor- he's a performer, but I hated his outfit and white shoes!
(On a side note, I thought Paula was going to pull up her top at one point watching him)
Lisa- would win a high school talent show or pageant just not AI...
Kevin- could be Lisa's runner up in the high school talent show. Seems like a
great big cosmic joke to me- and even he's in on it.
Elliot- still love his voice but like many, I cringed when he said he didn't like
BM's music... hope he doesn't lose just for that but it wasn't smart.
Kelly- so tired of her Jessica Simpson dumb blonde routine. She's still talking
about the minx joke from last week- now she said she thought Simon was
calling her a coat. And what's with her make up? She looks like
she's had her eyes done in the last few weeks. Sorry, she can't hold a
candle to Carrie vocally.
Ace- better this week but still just eh for me. Then again, I don't think men
should do falsettos unless they've been kicked in the groin...

In summary: America please send Kevin home... or Kellie.

If so, have you seen the couple of episodes with Britney Britney - the blonde popstar (a take off on Britney Spears) that Cosmo has a crush on?

I agree...but should I be worried that I've redialed nearly 40 times now and have yet to get a busy signal? For some reason, people are turned off by her (many here on the boards), but I love the sultry jazz voice and hope that if she doesn't win, she still gets a record deal.

Well if dialidol is correct (and it was pretty darn close last week!) then she is okay as she should be. It's funny how personalities just rub people the wrong way. Paris and Kellie annoy me but I can't justify it too much, just not my type.
And a wee bit off topic, every time I see that CD of Eva Cassidy's "Songbird", I think Kirsten Dunst has cut an album...

OK, so the story seems to be that Paula was being watched due to "constant erratic behavior" The shows higher ups have been looking into replacement for her and so far they have Brittany or Jessica.

Trying to imagine how that would go with either one of them. i'm more curious what or why is paula acting like this? Is it drugs

Anyone else hear about this yet?

I thought Mandisa was strong -as usual. She will never win this thing, but I sure did vote for her tonight.

Paris used to be my favorite, but my opinion of her has dwindled lately. Tonight I realized what it was that bothers me about her: she knows she's good. She just sort of stands there and waits for the affirmation to roll in from the judges -almost like she is entitled to only praise. There is not much of a sense of humility about her. By that I mean she seems to think she has no 'growing edges'.

Chris just didn't sound too great tonight IMO. He does stay true to his strengths, but tonight wasn't his night. Maybe a less iconic song would have served him better. I still think he could win this whole thing.

Taylor is the man! I just love how he gets up there and boogies as he sings. Every other singer -with the possible exception of Chris -has moves that seem so choreographed. When they wave a hand, fiddle with a microphone, or shake a leg it all seems so preplanned. Not so with Taylor. He is my favorite.

I really want to pull for Kellie. Really... I do! I like to pull for the NC contestants! But her Minnie Pearl act is getting on my nerves. Honestly, stick a straw hat with the price tag hanging off of it on her and you've got yourself a Hee Haw act. I wish she could just sing and not talk to Ryan. She should stick to being a sexy little kitten, like in her famous "minx" performance.

So who's going home? I hope it will be Elliot or Paris, but after tonight I just couldn't say for sure. Everyone left is talented.

I can see Paris' talent but I don't get that style...
