I didn't like the weird accent that she kept throwing in there. It wasn't her accent. It sounded like she was trying to sing in french.

I go out walkeen--after zee midnight. Out in zee moonlight. Just like moi and vous used to do. I go out walking, after zee midnight. Searching pour vous.

:lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

First time I've ever liked Ace but that falsetto has to stop now!

I don't think Simon thinks with his big head when it comes to Kellie...

Love my ACE!!!

LOL! I was just saying he would be good in a boy band.

What is it with Paula and the barely legals?? She seems to be all hot for the teen boys? Sexy and sultry. Is Ace of drinking age, yet?

Ok, Chris and Mandisa are getting my votes tonight. No one else particularly wowed me.

I think Ace is over 21...but Paula needs to get a grip.

Ace stunk! Simon's comment wasn't that complementary. It was his best performance in the series but not the best one tonight. He was starting to say that there were 5 people who were better than Ace tonight.

50s Week Thoughts:

First off, I love that Barry Manilow actually tries to help these kids out. I remember from a few seasons ago that he did the same thing. It impresses me that he genuinely seems to want to help these kids.

Mandisa - I Don't Hurt Anymore - :) - I agreed with Barry that she should've opened big. She was a little weak in the beginning, but came on really strong in the end. Still, she seemed a little flat when she wasn't belting it out. Sultry and sexy (and I typed sexy before Simon said it ;)). Better than good, but not great.

Bucky - Oh Boy - :guilty: - I don't think Bucky can do anything to convince me that he should be here. He screams KARAOKE to me everytime he sings (I wrote "karaoke" before Simon said this, too! Uh oh...Simon and I are on the same page tonight...). The pitch change in the song didn't work for him. I agree that it was a good song choice, but it was pretty weak.

Paris - Fever - :goodvibes - One of my favorite songs ever. Started out a little weak to me and I kinda thought her timing was off the whole time (I'm sure she planned it this way in her to be more jazzy...It just kinda irritated me). By the end, though, I realized that I would buy a jazz cd by Paris. Still, like Mandisa this evening, Paris was better than good, but not great.

Chris - I Walk the Line - :thumbsup2 - I hate this song, but I will be downloading Chris's version as soon as possible. The song really didn't show off his vocal prowess, but this was great anyway. Although I must say that the judges tick me off by saying "he's true to who he is" and then trash others for not stepping out of their comfort zone. Still, incredibly compelling. He really is a star already.

Katharine - Come Rain or Come Shine - :worship: - Like the sign said in the audience: "Call a doctor! I have the McPheever!" My favorite female in this competition by a mile (sorry, Mandisa). She is sexy and brings it every single time. (Did I just type "brings it"?!?!?).

Taylor - Not Fade Away - :confused3 - If this was the first time I heard Taylor sing, I honestly wouldn't be all that impressed (Okay, this is seriously nuts! I wrote the above before Simon said what he said! Can I be a judge on this show? I can speak in a British accent!). The song didn't allow for much range at all and I really didn't think he even did that great when he was singing. Taylor's worst performance so far...he wasn't bad, but it was just okay.

Lisa - Why Do Fools Fall in Love? - :sad2: - I know Lisa Tucker can sing, but I can't seem to care about anything she sings. It doesn't help that she really didn't sound so hot tonight. I'd love to have seen her in "The Lion King" (and who knows, maybe I did when we went to Broadway), but she hasn't impressed me once in this competition. She's cute (in that little kid kind of way), but she's just blah.

Kevin - When I Fall in Love - - I must be going nuts because this is the second week in a row that I've kinda liked Chicken Little. I thought this was his best performance yet by far. He's not gonna win this thing, but I don't think he should be going home yet.

Elliot - Teach Me Tonight - :rolleyes1 - I used to like Elliot, but he bores me now. He can sing, but he doesn't "connect" with me for some reason anymore. I mean, he's good, but there's something about him that is just okay with me.

Kellie - Walkin' After Midnight - :rolleyes2 - Patsy Cline...big surprise! Can't stand the way she looks into the camera. Another boring performance. Didn't like it one bit until the end (which, admittedly, did sound good).

Ace - In the Still of the Night - :badpc: - This guy started out kinda promising and he has just stunk every week since his premiere. Awful. I really thought he was off-pitch throughout the whole song. Maybe I'm alone on this one, but I thought he was the pits!
