Since you asked ...I'm hearing Meatloaf to sing with Kat , Live to sing with Chris, and Mary J Blige (???) to sing with Elliot

There is continuing speculation as to who will sing with Taylor. Wouldn't a Joe Cocker appearance be cool? I don't know much about him, other than I like his music. But hey - why not.

Omg, I just showed the SNL parody to my co workers and we are in stitches!!! Just imagine, a bunch of people in an office screaming "SOUL PATROL, SOUL PATROL!!"

It would've been even better if they brought out a Kat imitator! How funny would that've been? They could've brought out a brunette Barbie!

The producers of AI must be thrilled at how involved the viewers get with this show. It is sad, though, when we start picking away at each other because of it.

I have heard a lot of rumours that Taylor is going to sing Georgia on my Mind. I have also heard that Kat is doing the Black Horse and Cherry Tree. Anyone hear anything else?

Both final contestants are apparently going to be signed by 19E, so is there really a winner?

First thing - what the hell does Meatloaf and Katharine have ANYTHING to do with each other that she is doing a duet with him? Did she accidentally think they were asking her what she wanted for dinner that night and not who she wanted to sing with? Never in my wildest dreams would I have said "hmm.. MEATLOAF would be a GREAT partner for a 22 yr old American Idol finalist! Let's book him!"

And second - people, just remember BEAUTY IS IN THE EYE OF THE BEHOLDER. Just because one person finds someone beautiful, doesn't mean that the next person will. And thank God for that otherwise there would be a lot of people out there without spouses or dates for Friday night. Just because someone finds or doesn't find someone attractive doesn't make one right or wrong, because when it comes to things like that, there is NO right or wrong.

I hope Kat doesn't do Black Horse. Her version of it - IMHO - sucked! I absolutely hated it. The original artist, KT Tunstall, is WAY better!

I also hope Taylor doesn't do Georgia on my Mind. That song bores me to tears.

I love Georgia (the song)...and think Taylor would do a great job with it.

1 - I think Kat's version of "Black Horse..." was way better than the original. It's not even close, in my opinion. KT is talented, but in no way does she have a voice to match Kat's.

2 - I've heard Taylor sing "Georgia on my mind", and he's incredible with it. You can find it to download if you look around (sorry, can't remember where I found it).

3 - Can't believe this thread fell apart, and I wasn't at the center of it. Vegas odds had the Yarminions burning me in effigy by now.

Me three. It really made the difference for us; up until then we were basically just voting for Chris... after that we split our vote between Chris and Katherine. I do like Tunstall's original version, but like Katherine's version better.

I had never heard the original of Kat's song before her version so I thought it was great because I had nothing to compare it with!

I would love to hear Taylor sing anything by Ray Charles, he's already done Joe Cocker and Michael McDonald, he might as well fill the trilogy!!

Can't wait for tonight!! I HATE those full of "stars" finales but I will be there!

I'm not excited about tonight but I am really looking forward to Wednesday's show. It will be nice to have everyone back together again.

"It is a song called 'Do I Make You Proud.' Katharine will sing 'Somewhere Over the Rainbow,' which she was just fabulous with last week. It is probably the song that put her in the finals, to be honest. Also, 'Black Horse and Cherry Tree,' and her single is called 'My Destiny,' quite appropriate really."
