Paris- ok. she's too young for that song
:confused3 I just don't get it.
Every week there are so many good songs that she can choose.
And each week, she has a knack for picking a song that is one of the most inappropriate for a 17 yr old.
She was too young for the song she sang last week and she's way too young for the sing she's singing this week.

Oh one more thing that I don't think anyone mentioned was when David Foster asked Andrea Bocelli what colour Kellie's hair was!!! Priceless!!!

My order from best to worst

Elliott
Chris
Paris
Taylor
Katharine
Kellie
Ditto!

Elliott was positively AMAZING tonight! I had goosebumps. He just keeps getting better and better each week. I had trouble getting through on the phone lines for him tonight and I haven't had that happen before. Hopefully, that's a good sign!

I wonder if Taylor was sick tonight. It sounded to me as if he was trying to sing over a cold and that may have been the reason for his somewhat disappointing performance.

I have actually been one who's enjoyed Kellie Pickler's time on the show but this is truly the week when she should go home. In comparison to the other finalists, she is WAY out of her league. Unfortunately, I don't think she will go home yet. It will most likely be Paris. :(

According to dialidol.com Paris is in last place then Kellie is not to far behind!

sad...let's hope that switches...

Another FASCINATING evening.

Let me begin by saying my man Chris was spectacular and received the most votes from my phone (I lost count, but probably close to 15). However, the stongest vocal was from Elliot, so I tossed him a bone for the night, leaving Kat and her wardrobe malfunction without my support for the night.

Katherine: Thank God for those yellow undies you had on. DH almost leaped into the tv screen when her buttons popped on her dress. Then she whirled around and BAMMO...crotch shot! Again, luckily for all of us she had matching underwear on (it's a family show). She was "****tastic" as DH put it, in that dress. Her singing was pretty good. NOT Whitney, but good. I put her at number 3 for the evening, tied with taylor. But I didn't vote for her this week.

Elliot: GREAT vocal, boring song/performance. I hope he snazzes it up a bit next week. He's got the chops but not the stage presence. I give him slot number 1 for the best vocal of the evening.

Kellie: I bought a new hat after last week, and I WILL eat it again if she's not voted out tomorrow night. That was simply unacceptable. There aren't enough synonyms for "bad" to descrie the performance. Obviously last in line at #6.

Paris: Good vocal, but she looked like Nell Carter (sans the weight). BAD hair, way too old of a song and a look. Wardrobe dressed her all wrong and made her look stumpy with that jacket. She looked like a 40 year old. Still a good vocal and she gets slot #5.

Taylor: Weak opening but he brought it home. RAndy was smoking some wacky tobaccy if he thought the song choice was wrong. It was perfect for him! I give him space #3 (tied with Kat).

Chris: BEST PERFORMANCE of the evening. Second best vocal (behind E-double). Here's your winner folks. Not Chris's best though (Dead or Alive still smoked 'em all!)

Top 3:
Elliot
Chris
Taylor/Kat

Bottom 3:
Kat (Only here since I voted for Taylor instead of her)
Paris (yawn)
Kellie (why...Why...WHY are you still here???)

Going home: Kellie....(please God. I don't know if I can stomach another hat. This one is wool and itchy to boot!)

The **'d out word in my post rhymed with TUBE (i can't believe that word isn't allowed! hahahahah)

Watched tonight but couldn't come in and chat through the whole show cause my daughter was hogging the computer for her homework...of all things.

So my take on tonight:

1. Katharine: I loved her tonight. Not too sure on her dress though, I think she needed a bit more support from her undergarments. I have no clue what the judges hear, when they think she is awesome, I think she stunk...tonight they trash her and I thought she was really good. :confused3

2. Elliot: I never heard the song before so I had no idea what it should sound like. He did a nice job...but I noticed he didn't hit the note at the end like Foster told him to. :listen:

Paula crying..it wasn't that good, Simon trying very hard not to really bust a good...priceless. :lmao:

3. Kellie: What can I say that hasn't already been said? Bad song...boring as all get out. What did they do to her hair? That bump on top looked stupid...and she had the clown makeup again :clown: ...plus when talking to Ryan she kept thrusting her chest forward...drove me crazy.

4. Paris: Did not like her at all tonight. Don't get why they all think she is so good. :confused3

5. Taylor: not his best tonight. I like the song..but he just looks so uncomfortable singing slow songs..he looks like he wants to nust into a crazy Steve Martin dance at any second and he's just trying so hard to restrain himself. :woohoo:

6. Chris: Liked him tonght, got a wee bit screamy in parts where he could have kept it more mellow, but overall :thumbsup2

Poor Kellie really was out of her league tonight. Katharine impresses me more each week. I was shocked the judges were so rough on her. I thought she did a fine job with that Whitney Houston song. Chris was excellent; so was Elliot. I am a bit worried about Taylor. Kellie (or Paris) really should go home this week, but when its down to this level, you just never know who's fans are gonna get out the vote.

Also... for all you Bucky fans in NC, I just saw where he is gonna be on Fox 8 (WGHP) Thursday morning for 1 1/2 hours (7:30-9). That's a whole lotta Bucky.

Wish that I lived in NC... :)

I have mixed feelings about Chris. I think that he should win I guess but I suspect that AI actually hurts the rockers that place too high. I can't decide where the best place for him might be. :confused3

I had to go back and make sure I typed that one right..if I missed a letter it could have got be booted off of here!

Elliott was so awesome tonight!!

Best to Worst
Elliott (best vocal of the night) :thumbsup2
Chris
Taylor
Paris
Katherine
Kellie

Okay, I was subjected to Kellie twice because Obi-Wan worked the late shift tonight and popped the tape in to watch.

Here's the thing, and I'm embarrassed to admit it. I think I know the cause of Kellie lasting as long as she has, and I think I might be responsible.

You see, we have this cage full of cockatiels. We started out with 2 pet birds that got the hots for each other and now we have 8 babies ranging from 2-4 months old... it's that darn cockatiel math yaknow. I don't have to tell you that when you have that many cockatiels together in a cage you are going to have chatter.

Anyhow.. cue the Pickle and the birds stop letting out even as much as a peep. They hang on the side of the cage watching her with their heads cocked in some strange fashion.

They have found their leader.

And with that hairdo she was sporting tonight, I think they expected her crest to pop up at any moment.

Oh, and Reilly... hid his head in my hands during the second round of the Pickle.

Oh, and any central Virginian's out there.. not sure if you know this or not but Bo Bice is going to be at The Have A Nice Day Cafe tomorrow night!
