I downloaded Kalan Porter's version of I Can Only Imagine (the song, not the video clip) and it is beautiful. His voice really touches me.

Yes...that song was originally written and performed by Dolly Parton. I've heard her asked if it bothered her that Whitney Houston had such a big hit with it and she said no because as the writer of the song she made a ton of money off Whitney's version. I prefer Dolly's version. I am not a Whitney Houston fan.

He got really bashed by the judges for being so boring on the final night but I thought it was beautiful. He is a very religious person and said all along that when he got a chance he would sing this song.

WOW it brought tears to my eyes. The judges were a little harsh but no matter. the host said it perfectly-he stayed true to who he is!! Bravo! ( i still feel like a perv!! hehehe) Thanks Dama for sharing

Damo, I have to admit I fell in LOVE with your canadian idol, too... what a talent! I wish we had someone like him to vote for. I would LOVE to hear him sing I Can Only Imagine... it's a song my sister or I can't hear without crying...

Well, I'm sort of looking forward to tonight because Ace is gone. I always sort of grimaced hoping he wouldn't mess up....now at least that anxiety is over.

BTW, HOW THE HECK can anyone compare Paris to Kellie? No matter what you feel about her she has more talent in her weave than Kellie has in her empty head...
