Anyone catch Bucky on Ellen today? I just love him! Anyhow, he sang Superstition with just a piano, and he sounded better than he did on the show! Without the loud band to drown him out, that boy can really sing, and you can understand every word! I love his voice - I can't wait until he releases a CD.

Missed it!!! Can we watch it somewhere? I want to be first in lie for a cd!!

Why do you have to be a POP star to be an American Idol? Tha doesn't seem right. They would have to name it Pop American Idol!!

Well I can see I missed it and had to watch dvr tonight and everyone else had finished but thought I would throw in one more..Dialidol has Chris in the bottom 3 right now. Was that expected? I figured Kellie...

For me all in all it was a very good night, with one really sour note.

Chris - Did a wonderful job! He has such a great voice, I really liked the vibrato in his voice, just added that little something extra to the song. He got my vote tonight.

Paris - While I am not a fan, and I did not vote for her. She also did a wonderful job tonight. You could really tell that she was in her element tonight, because that is the Paris that I remember from the city-by-city auditions. She should stick around for a little bit longer.

Taylor - I really liked tonight's performance! He was great, and I really loved the end when he showed off his Taylor moves. He also got some votes from me as well.

Elliott - Yes, he also did a good job. But I am still not a fan. And yes, I have tried not watching the screen and just listening to his voice. I just don't see what others see in him. But I didn't think he was the worst of the night. But I just could not get over what he was wearing...nice shoes, nice shirt, and nice jacket...but then he put the ugliest pair of JEANS of have ever seen. What, did they run out of nice dress pants at the store??

Kellie - The worst of the night goes to Kellie! She proved tonight that if Barbie was to come to life, she wouldn't be able to sing. After the performance I had to make sure their wasn't any broken glass in my house, because of all the sharp notes she kept trying to hit, when there wasn't any there to shoot for. VERY PAINFUL TONIGHT!! NEEDS TO GO HOME!!

Ace - I will have to agree with the judges and say that this was one of his better performances. But I will have to agree with everyone that he needs to stop going for that falsetto voice. He has a nice singing voice it just needs some more training.

Katharine - Another one of the best of the night. She did a wonderful job with the song. I just think they could have pushed the camera back some. Yes, she is pretty, but I'm watching for the voice...not to do a dental exam on her. She is another one who I voted for tonight as well.

My hope for bottom three:
Elliott
Kellie
Ace

I think Ace will be going home. Though I would love it to be Kellie.

As for my voting: I was able to get in 10 times for Taylor, 38 times for Katharine and 60 times for Chris.

Now I have a theory about the call in votes. Both my mother and myself voted tonight. I used the land line she used her cell phone. Though I was able to get in 60 times for Chris, she was never able to get in for him during the whole 2 hour voting period. I got in on Taylor 10 times, she was unable to get a vote for him as well. The same with Katharine, I got in, she didn't. She was also only able to get in one time for Ace. So we think that with everyone voting on their cell phones, the towers get overloaded and some calls are never connected. So next week, try calling on your cell and land and see how many times you get in for the people you are voting for. Just a thought.

Just finished reading through everyone's posts and instead of typing my opinion out... I'm going with what palmtreegirl said

I still don't get all the Taylor love.
I thought overall his performance tonight was not that good. I was bored until the very end, then he definitely put his own quirky spin on it.
I just don't find his quirkiness endearing.
I understand that I'm in the minority with that opinion though.

Chris-Really good. I loved it. Didn't love the outfit though.

Paris-Her best vocal performance so far but I found it a bit boring.

Taylor- I just love him.

Paula, please put the girls away

Elliot- Awesome. I love that song so I was skeptical before he started but it was really, really good.

Totally disagree with Simon, I thought this was Elliots best performance to date

Kellie- Beginning was cute but then it got really tight and pitchy. Wasn't her best, that's for sure but she'll be around next week.

Ace- He sounded really great in the clip with Rod Stewart. Tonight he wasn't as good but I enjoyed it. Didn't care for hair.

Katherine- Not a fan of Katherine but I thought she was great tonight. This is definitely her genre.

I usually Ti-vo and watch the show too late to vote - but I actually watched live (well, West Coast live) and voted tonight.
Don't know how some people vote for the whole 2 hours though. 15 minutes was about all the effort I was willing to expend.

Never got a single busy signal for Chris or Elliott.
Got a couple for Katherine, but was still able to get in a few votes for her.
Didn't try for anyone else.

Based on tonight Kellie should go home - but it won't happen.
I'm thinking it will be Ace.

The original program was indeed "Pop Idol." When the producers sold the show to each national market, they decided to named them "XXXX Idol" where XXXX refers to the specific country, i.e., "Canadian Idol," "Australian Idol," "American Idol," etc. Yet, they're all still a search for the next big Pop Music star.

I voted for Elliott 27 times. If he gets voted off, it's not my fault.

If you get creeped out by him, just close your eyes and listen to his voice. It's fabulous.

I tried that but I just don't care for his voice..I don't get the attraction.

Not going to happen. I think a lot of people see themselves in Taylor, and are voting for him with hopes that they can live vicariously through him, at least while it is free. Unfortunately, I suspect once they have to pay for his performances it won't be any different than it has been in the past for Taylor -- he'll get a lot of enthusiasm but not much in terms of devoted fans willing to pay for his albums and concerts.

What a night, what a night!! Never in the two years I’ve been watching Idol has a group scored as highly as the one did last night. While some thought the night would be boring and some thought they just wouldn’t get it, almost to a performer, they made me wanting more. My take on the best night of American Idol so far.

Chris: OMG, he can smile. OMG, he can sing without screaming. OMG, he can REALLY sing!! All bets are off with Chris. Beautiful. Soulful. A wonderful rendition of a Wonderful World.
Chris gets a 10.

Paris: Sliding seamlessly into a vampy look, Paris delivered and delivered big time. Singing These Foolish Things, which was written in 1935, she made me want to go out and buy a copy of that TODAY!
A helium speaking voice followed by a husky, well controlled singing voice just blows my mind every time I hear her. Absolutely the best performance of the night and maybe this season, Paris was the BOMB!! She gets a 10++

Taylor: Taylor gave us You Send Me which was just a bit too laid back in the beginning, actually about ½ way through the song. But then he morphed into the Taylor bug and added his soul to it. Bluesy finale with a great ending saved him from a 5 or 6. Taylor gets an 8.

Elliott: Singing It Had To Be You which is one of my favorite songs ever, Elliott ALMOST got it right. The only problem I had with his version was finding it a bit too slow. On the up side, his performance was as smooth as glass and quite sexy. It could have been his moment but he just missed the brass ring. Elliott gets a 9

Kellie: As Simon said, she could have left out the Bewitched and Bothered parts because all she appeared to be was Bewildered. I got the feeling she really didn’t understand the lyrics to this. A great start that rapidly disintegrated into a game of Where’s my Rhythm? To her credit, she did admit she butchered it in the post performance interview.
Sorry Kellie, but on a night of greatness, you only get a 6

Ace: I kept humming Minnie the Moocher from the Blues Brothers when I saw Ace. That was quite an, umm, interesting look for him. Singing That’s All (not sure that was the title) I loved his performance. His delivery was on the mark and the stage presence was sexy and enchanting. One of his best nights so far, Ace gets a 9.

Katharine: Doing Someone to Watch Over Me, I spent most of her performance waiting for her hyper glossed lips to slide right off her face. Making goo goo eyes at the camera didn’t make me lose my hearing and miss those dropped held notes that this song had plenty of. I found her performance just a bit over the top. A great song that I enjoyed a lot more if I didn’t watch the antics on my TV.
Katharine gets an 8.

Who I voted for:
Over the span of about 75 minutes and voting mostly for Paris, I was only able to get through 3 times for her and 0 times for Elliott.

I went to my DS11's baseball game last night. Due to having a DS3, I have to watch the game from the playground. About 7:30, there was a large crowd coming towards us to leave the ball park.

All of the women and children had on "Chris Daughtry Rock the Vote" t-shirts! They were in a hurry to get to McLeansville Elem. to watch AI and support Chris. I assume all of the fathers were left behind to watch the players. It was a great sight to see.
