From more that I'm looking and reading the "crowdfunding" is being treated as a store. Still not a good way to handle it.

Sorry if I used the wrong term but a label asking for money before producing the music seems like crowd funding. I can't help but think this indicates lack of support for the winner.

I'm a American Idol thread lurker...always enjoy your post show analyses! When I saw your link to the song I was intrigued... I'm seeing Aerosmith on their tour this summer (love this band and can't wait!!) but can't say I love this new genre. Steven sings it really well but I dunno... country? I applaud his diversity though.

Pledge/crowd/kick all pretty much the same thing. The way it's set up I want to know why he's doing this. It comes off as a store when you look more at it but also as I'm to cheap to spend my money on anyone to record a record. I think he's going to do what he does with the winner and not give them the support they deserve. He's done it with both voice contestants he's signed.

Clark: Champion wrote by Tom Douglas, David Hodges and Zac Maloy. (Hodges has had several idol co-writes and even had some Idol take jab at him in songs)

Great question! I think The New Kids on the Block are all in their 40's. At least singing with Daniel there will be one real kid on the block.
