See I'm probably in the minority but to me Nick and Clark are two different type of musicians/performers. I see Clark very Sam Smith singer/songwriter type. Nick is versatile in terms of sound.

I'm not 100% sure. I've seen a bit of him and I think he could do well there too. From listening to his EPs he's struck me as more soul/blues

I honestly think Nick is going to be the winner. Both were fantastic though tonight. First time in a long time I've been happy with the top two.

I agree, but my daughter said "I really don't like his voice at all". Maybe being a college graduate doesn't make one all that smart. LOL

Nick is going to win. I will miss American Idol but the last couple years have bored me. I used to be so excited and now I'm just meh. Maybe that's getting older too though. Glad for one final season!

Hi all. Yet again I had a conflict so I had to catch last night on dvr. As always these are just my opinions.

The show started out as just so sad. I don't care for Jax at all as a performer but the way she was cut seemed cruel. And her dress was spectacular bad. Do these guys not get fashion advice?

Performance wise Clark was better in the first two rounds. Georgia on My Mind was beautiful. I really liked Ain't No Sunshine also. I don't dislike Nick but I thought his voice was a little thin on his songs. The more I look at him I just feel that he is an old man. Maybe it is because he has been trying to make it as a musician for so long. Maybe it is because he looks just like his dad and it is easy to interchange that image. I did not like either of the last two songs so I won't even comment.

Instead of making me mad the producer/Borchetta manipulations made me sad. The whole idea of AI is that the public gets to pick the winner. Scott B. gets to pick artists all of the time. That is business as usual for a record label chief. If they are going to be so heavy handed in influencing the vote, why are they even bothering with a public vote? I hate being told what my taste in music should be. I guess it really is time for AI to go away.

The final and ultimate sadness was reading that Scott B's label is crowd funding the winners first DVD. Anyone can do that. The winner should have more backing from the label than that. I wonder if Scott B. will sign Jax and actually promote her instead of the winner.

I agree with this. Somehow Jax will probably come out with a better deal than the actual winner. I don't see her as a star because I think she is awkward, she is all about her "persona" while singing but once she is taken out of that element, there's nothing else there. It's as if she uses up all of her personality on stage and when they give her the mic to listen to the judges or speak, she is so dull.

I really liked Nick's single, I hope he wins. Poor Clark got the crap end of the deal with that single, I didn't even understand most the song.

Also, Jennifer's dress was terrible.

I agree about the beginning of the show just being sad. I felt badly for Jax. And her dress, what was that? It was totally unflattering on her. It reminded me a bit of the old Carol Burnett show's Gone with the Wind skit where Carol actually wore a set of curtains.
