I knew the song, thanks to kids being Paramore fans, but not sure if I was thrilled with how she did it.

I think she struggled with the song. It's not an easy song to do.

Nick, as always, is good.

Funnily, I'm just the opposite and was glad to finally say goodbye to him because I thought he came across as very calculating and insincere. When they'd ask him questions, his answers always seemed too perfect and rehearsed as if he'd gone over all the possible questions and responses in him head beforehand and was trying to give the answer that would get him the most votes instead of answering honestly and from the heart.

Again - this week showed me that AI is dead and needs to end. SO BORING! I remember back in the day when the week before the finale was so much more intense and filled with amazing performances... oh well. The one good thing about this week was it showed people's weaknesses - especially Jax. I think the Paramore song really showed the limits of her range - she is really comfortable using her falsetto/mix for higher stuff, but that song required a pretty strong belt which she wasn't really able to achieve without sliding into/out of the notes. I definitely think the producers want/need her to win because they think she's the only one who is really marketable - but her record will just fade into oblivion. Nick is SO. GENERIC. Walk into any dive bar/small music venue in any city and you will find a line of Nicks waiting to hit the open mic. Clark is the best vocalist with the worst/least marketable personality. He could make a lot of money in the Christian music biz. Speaking of... Rayvon's arrangement of "You Are So Beautiful" was really bad and gave me horrible flashbacks to bad 90's praise and worship songs.
