I like Hollywood week in all it's dream-crushing glory. However, I do think they should BAN parents from any of the "working" areas. The stage-mothering is out of control and frankly in some cases could be construed as being given unfair extra help (or that's the excuse they could use).

Okay, finally caught up but I can't remember one name right now. Oh no. One of the groups that did I Want You Back was great - the girl who started off that solo was a stand out to me, so much so that I have no clue what her name is! Laughing.

And I think I will quit right there as that hardly narrows it down. And what's with Tiquila, is that her interesting spelling?, and quitting for gospel? Could she not get there through rounds of American Idol and that exposure?

The mother. Oh the mother. I think I'll go hug mine for not being all that into my comings and goings in life, as in not. I can't even imagine.

That mother sounds like a friend of mine's gf who said that "you're worth nothing without Jesus". Not going to start a debate. But I kinda put her in her place a bit.

Local news did do a piece on Tiquila after that show. She said she was called to leave the show and go into gospel.

Related to that note: there's a concert coming up called Winter Jam that has Colton Dixon as one of the 10 acts.
