I must say, though. . .Why doesn't Deandre ever sing a whole song in THAT voice like on "I'm So Excited"? It's way better than his constant falsetto. It reminds me of someone from the '60s or '70s, but I can't place who.

They do that a lot. As long as the song was a hit in the genre, they allow it. When a Man Loves a Woman was it's biggest hit by Percy Sledge in the 60s but they allowed it for the birth year because Michael Bolton also had a hit with it.
