Well tonight will be infinitely more boring without HeeJun but I'll muddle through somehow...
DEANDRE: "I Like It"...blech. He can pick any song from the 80's but he can't find anything remotely relevant? I want to make this song go away.
ELISE: "I Wanna Know What Love Is"...Well I dig the heck outta Foreigner. Her voice is very nasally here and she isn't doing anything to make this song hers. And she sounds almost flat? Not quite a repeat of lat week. Woops.
A duet...a waste of time. Ugh.
PHILLIP: "Thats All"...Well I also dig Genesis (clearly LOL) so hopefully he can cool this one up. This is...weird? It's not bad, but it's just kind of strange. He made it rockabilly. I still love him.
Another duet....and this one is AWFUL.
JOSHUA: "If you Don't Know Me"...predictable. Another song with no relevance. Sung well, but zero selling power in today's pop music market.
JESSICA: "How Will I know"...of COURSE she is singing this. Did she say she has an alter-ego named Bee Bee Chezz? Oooh I hate her so much now. This is not good. It's maybe her weakest performance so far. Yay!
ANOTHER duet? This one is at least interesting. Though Colton and Skyler were okay too.
HOLLIE: "What A Feeling"...who is picking her songs??? Jimmy was right, this song is cornier than anything ever recorded. Ugh and she's butchering it. It's unpleasant.
Hopefully the last duet...
COLTON: "Time After Time"...I love this song. THIS is how you make an old song relevant and current! Give this kid a little band like Maroon 5 and watch him churn out the gold. He understands music, who he is and what he wants...he's good to go. Sell it now!
SKYLER: "Wind Beneath My Wings"...I hate this song, so she's going to have to do something spectacular to make me like this. This has a pageanty sound to it (and she's SO nasally). Dolly Parton 2.0 blech.
Highlights of the evening:
Colton
Joshua
Skyler
Middle of the road:
Elise
Phillip
So the weakest of the night for me were:

Jessica
Hollie
Going home? Either Deandre or Hollie.
