I feel like this throws off their schedule but I don't know right now.

I think it is so touching that the other contestants get so involved in supporting the one that is out there singing....brings tears to my eyes, truly. So emotional when it is all of their dreams to be the "American Idol"

Would it be too cynical to say I think some of it is an act? Just that 'reality' cynicism coming out in me.

I know what you mean. I wonder if it's like beauty pageants where the girls look so happy for the winner but in reality would like to push her off the stage and take her crown.

Agreed. It's like when you walk a fired co worker to the car. "I'm gonna miss ya but I'm GLAD it wasn't ME."

I think that some of them get close, but I do remember in years past a few people seemed to turn it on when they noticed the cameras were on them. Plus it is much easier to be upset when you are safe and sitting there watching someone else going home, especially if they were not even in the bottom 3.

They made the right decision. Shannon wasn't good enough. I like the top 10!

As for the singing...there is a LOT of emotion running through all of those kids on elimination night. It just wells up and bubbles out when the axe drops. Not only that, but they've all been through a LOT together and while they may not be best friends, I'm sure they're all close enough where it does sting to see a friend get voted off.

I am glad that Shannon is off. She was just not going to win.
And, talking about stylest. It is like Shannon is the Queen Bee in a beauty pageant and some of the other girls have also worn 'pageant dresses'...

OMG - ugly and not in keeping with an upcoming international pop star.

I can remember Erica, at her age and weight, wearing that SHORT pageant/prom dress.

I wonder if they like his quirkiness and weird sense of humor and that is why they are fans. He annoyed me in the audition rounds and I can't get past that..so my opinion on him has been middle of the road...no opinion basically.

We love Hee Jun. He cracks us up every week and we enjoy his personality. As for his singing, he's not the best in the competition, but he isn't the worst.

Why in the world is He Jne still in this competition? I couldn't stand him during tryouts in Hollywood and imho, he's never had a great performance. He should be gone. WHO is voting for him? Is the sound broken on their television? He's got some block of voters somewhere skewing the whole process.

I agree. He can't sing, he slurs his words. Maybe the "vote for the worst" group is behind him. He should have been cut long ago during the audition process.

I think Shannon is a lovely girl with so much potential. She was so much better during auditions. He last 2 performances weren't good. I think live TV was just to much for her. If she had waited a year or 2 to audition, I think she could have won the comptition. I understand why she went, but was hoping she'd stay a little while longer to try and control her nerves.

I'M voting for HeeJun and proud of it!

I will continue to throw all my votes his way because I like him. He's got more personality in his pinky than the rest of the contestants have in their whole bodies, and YES I know it's not a peronality contest but it IS a television show. If he were to leave early on it would be beyond boring without him. I do NOT think he will win, and I don't WANT him to win. I want him to stick around long enough to weed out Elise, Erika and Skylar. THEN he can go on his merry way.

I am excited to see Tommy Hilfiger get his hands on all the contestants next week.

maybe they were making them look extra bad, so it makes Tommy Hilfigger's makeovers look extra good

I don't think voting on personality is any different than voting on looks or what Idol wants us to vote on, the sob story. I love Hee Jun's personality, but not so much his singing. I'd still like to see him around a bit longer for entertainment purposes.

And when will Idol start having the contestants sing more modern songs? Yes, Billy Joel is a classic icon, but unless they are going for the older demographics, they need to find people other than Billy, Elton, and Stevie Wonder.

Huh. I think that he is a terrible singer, and his personality is uber annoying. Tries too hard to be funny and it falls flat every time! No good as a singer OR comedian!

Nope, VFTW was behind Shannon.

Heejun had a LOT of support during the auditions and Hollywood week, mainly because of his mutual ire of the cowboy. He is losing a lot of that support, however, funny can only last but so long with so so singing.
