That is my issue. The way he did that just sounded like he had no clue..pick the note and sit in it for more than a word or two.

I can't sing but I can hear. (which is why I know I can't sing )

I think that's why Jimmy said he needs a coach. He is trying too hard with a vocal genre that is like a sport. You're either going to go the mile or not!

DeAndre was absolutely awful. I can't believe he got through.

He was terrible! I am not thrilled with any of them so far though- I like Colton but thats about it- the chubby kid, the chinese guy and DeAndre are just god awful!

I enjoyed your bizare antics and glass is 1/2 full personna.
I tried to think desperately who your reminded me of
I was rooting for you...... Right up until the last 10 minutes of tonights show...when you butchered one of my all time favorite songs,Use Me. That was not remotely close to trying to do justice to a song, that was a juvinile attempt to take the stage down with you as you went.
sigh...for those unfamiliar, youtube the song,(Use Me by Bill Withers) you will see what I mean. He made Deandre sound good by comparison (no offense to team Deandre)

Very true! Though I don't mind Colton's hair. It just needs to be a little shorter in back to avoid the mullet look.

They said he couldn't come back once they made it to the top 24. Jimmy was saying that the kid shouldn't have gotten through this year, he needs time to grow but can't go try out again.

I liked Reed and Creighton, too. I'm really surprised they didn't make it, especially Reed. Quirky as he was he was truly talented.

I feel like the producers knew they had a loaded gun with Reed....no way to know if the guy was going to go haywire...as far as Creighton..maybe it was the eerily similar looks to Constantine? no idea how to market him.
When Reed said what he was gong to sing I was like...There it is! I KNEW I liked this guy! SO excited..then 2 lines into it..ugghhhh...brutal destruction.
Very interested in this years line-up...to be honest the judges picked 3 lame ducks intentionally so their 3 wild card picks were not to be questioned.
Adam was a mess tho, not getting the chance. I really wanted Aaron to get a chance, he was my pick over Deandre...guess the game is on now!

i don't think i remember your ever not being nice. the thing is, you can disagree without being nasty. and we've certainly disagreed (or, like different things, if you will) without being nasty.

No favorites for me yet. I'm hoping that next week once we get limited song choices that someone will jump out at me. I pretty much like everyone in the group..one or two I am sort of on..but they have good voices. Just not sure where those voices would fit in.

he also said that they should change the rules. i wonder what will happen. on one hand, it would be weird to see people year after year. i think maybe they should change it to top 13 can't come back or something.

i agreed with Jimmy. i had said the same on this thread much earlier. i like the kid. i think he's a nice kid. but he just needed more growth before he is on a monster TV show like AI.

right now, i'm team Phillip (and seriously, who names their kid Phillip Phillips?) and team Elise. i may add more. i liked Hollie. i thought Jessica sang well, but there is something a little off-putting about her (at least for me).

i'm reserving judgment on a few others.

Reed is just too much. he's not even entertaining.
