I hope my thoughts on tonight's performance don't get zapped again. Last week my computer ate it! On to tonight...

COLTON: "Everything"...picking another unknown song. Maybe he can make this his now like he has with the others? He does really feel his music, but he isn't the best singer. I bet he'll make a great studio album though. Something heavily produced. I still like him though.


SKYLER: "Gun Powder and Lead"...so this sounds exactly like everything else she's sung. I'm over her and her singing like she's holding her nose. Heee-Haw!


What the...?? So we have to stretch the show by throwing in extra duets and stuff??? Where's my remote...


HEEJUN: "A Song For You"...This song could be more his "jam". Beautiful. Just beautiful. Has a few moments where his accent gets the better of him, but he is really singing this just lovely. Awww...I just love him.


HOLLIE: "Jesus Take The Wheel"...I hate this song. It's a respectable version. It's no Carrie Underwood, and smacks of effort, but it's okay.


DEANDRE: "Sometimes I Cry"...He does have an amazing falsetto, but this song is so out of touch. I don't know why he picked it. I'm falling asleep. He's singing really well though.


JESSICA: "Beautiful Nightmare"...Well she's picked something relevant. Vocally really good, but there's something about her I find off-putting.


Oh good...more time wasting....


PHILLIP: "Look our My Window"...Once again proving he's truly one of the only ARTIST/MUSICIANS in this competition. He's SO GOOD. I would listen to his music and pay to see him. He just exudes the music. He IS the music. Fantastic.


JOSHUA: "Without You"...yeah...by Mariah Carey. Not his best performance. This song is not about runs and over singing. It's about heart and emotion and connecting to the person he's singing to,a dn he didn't do that .


ELISE: "Whole Lotta Love"...She seems to finally be enjoying herself on stage. I'll admit it, this is kinda cool! She is just so into it! And the scream...wicked! Sing it girl!


Wow what a night! I can't even pick top/middle/bottom. So who do I think should go home...tough call. I'm going Joshua tonight.

I like Colton. I think his voice is different-- not AMAZING like Jessica or Joshua's. It's unique. I think he's an excellent performer and he definitely stirs something in me when he sings. Also-- seeing his family get so emotional was adorable!

Also-- thrilled with guest mentor. Stevie is one of my all-time favorites!

Colton delivers with emotion and sincerity. I really admire this kid. He KNOWS, who he is and has the courage...to BE, who he is.

Way to go Elise!!!!!! That was amazing. I guess I'll be voting for 2 tonight. Just not my usual two.

ITA...I voted for PP and Elise, 2 of my faves from the start. Elise did justice to LZ, I thought, WAY better than someone who tried it last season She came across as far more comfortable and in the zone tonight. Loved that she had Stevens pants, lol!

Phillip Phillips killed this song. He's been my pick, since day one and nothing's changed. Dude is fantastic.

And, I love Jonny Lang....an absolutely, phenomal musician. He has such an old soul and only 30!

Elise....FINALLY showed her stuff!! I think, she picked up a few fans tonight.

Seems like it was "upside down" night tonight. Some of the bottom dwellers had the best performances.

Colton - Liked Colton last week, kind of hated him tonight. Boring song, and he didn't sing it very well.

Skylar - Her songs are starting to sound alike to me. And her performance seems to be on a loop too. She needs to fire her stylist. The diaper thing in the trio was really bad.

Heejun - Nice job, his best to date. Though not the best of the night.

Hollie - I love her voice. Wish she would sing something to show it off better.

Deandre - Not a fan of the false. I know Randy loves it, but he may one of the few.

Jessica - She was good, as always. She seems like a pro to me.

Phil Squared - I've been liking P2, and I agree with Stevie that he's a cutie. But I realized tonight that he has a range of about two notes. That's going to bug me now.

Joshua - Thought he did well. Really, one of his best.

Elise - You go, girl! Show those youngsters how it's done! Thought she was awesome, hope she sticks around.

I just can't get into Phil- he is very hard to watch perform-he always looks constipated and straining with that big vein running down his forehead while he sings. Not crazy about his singing either.

I agree with you. I liked him at first, but I'm growing tired of his voice.

Didn't care much for Colton. Skylar was good and I was pleasantly surprised by Heejun this week and enjoyed him. I love Hollie and thought she did great with Carrie's song. DeAndre bugs the crap out of me with that stupid falsetto crap (almost as bad as rap crap) so I fast forwarded through most of his performance. Jessica was okay, I like her but didn't care much for the song she chose. Fast forwarded through most of Philip and Joshua. Loved Elise!!

My top three from last night are: Hollie, Elise and Skylar.
Bottom three: DeAndre, Phillip and Joshua.
Would love to see either DeAndre or Joshua go home tonight.

Would really like to hear Elise do a little Grace Slick. Anyone else? And-Skylar has it all over Lauren Alaina from last season. There are about 5 of these singers who could win this thing. I'm impressed.

I didn’t get a chance to watch it last night so I’m watching it now. Here’s what I heard….

Colton--While he’s a decent singer, he doesn’t do anything for me. I could take him or leave him. He was just okay.

Skylar--Now, I’m not the biggest country fan (I do listen to it sometimes though) but I really like Skylar. Not one of my faves, but I thought she did good tonight.

Heejun--I haven’t liked him since day one (singing OR his “funny stuff”) but tonight I thought he sang really well.

Hollie--I’ve liked her since the auditions. And thought she really did well tonight.

Deandre--Ya know, I really like his voice when he sings in his lower register. And I even don’t mind when he throws a COUPLE high notes in there. But when he mostly sings in those high notes, I just can’t stand to listen to him. Why the judges stood up for that performance is beyond me.

Jessica--I really don’t know many Beyonce songs, so I don’t know what this song is supposed to sound like but I thought she did a good job. I’ve really liked her since the beginning.

I’m liking the trio of Joshua, Deandre & Heejun.

Phillip--I just LOVE Phillip. Always have, always will. Didn’t know the song but like Randy always says…he could sing the phonebook!!!

Joshua--LOVE LOVE LOVE me some Joshua!!! ’Nuff said!!!

Trio of Jessica, Hollie and Skylar….Not so much.

Elise--I normally don’t care for Elise but I really liked this. I didn’t however like when she sang with Stevie Nicks, just didn’t sound right.

I like little crazy puppy, she just needs to chill a bit and find something else to sing. All of her performances sound the same. And her stylist should be shot. She wears outfits to 'TRY' to camouflage her hips and all it does is call attention to them. I can teach her, nobody knows how to work junk in her trunk like I do!!

I think it's Deandre's time to go home. Ol' Dialidol, though it doesn't REALLY measure much, has Jessica towards the bottom for the first time. Hopefully she's losing her appeal. She's the one person I'd like never to see or hear again.
