American Idol Season 10: Official Thread!!

I thought kids were te best, nobody came near them. Really like the one boy Jalan voice.

I have had F U song in my head for a week. I think some of the bad perormances might have finally gotten it out.

What a night. I am SO happy they booted that crazy chick who nobody would let iunto their group. She was a whackado.

Poor Jaycee. DH and I both started crying when he made it through. That kid just seems so nice. I hope he does well.

As for the last group, I REALLY got the impression that the guy may have tanked on purpose because he couldn't stand to be rebuffed by the ex anymore and being around her was killing him slowly. Plus being henpecked by those two chicks took it's toll too.

I'm so glad Jaycee made it through! I felt awful for him.

I'm really enjoying this season of American Idol. It's probably my favorite season so far. The new judges established a kinder and gentler approach. I find it very refreshing. I know Simon will always be the iconic figure of the show but I don't think his departure is being felt much. That's just my opinion, but I never liked the previous cruel aspect to the show. I like the judges this year. Yeah, Simon was entertaining but I can't say I miss him all that much.

The group "the minors" was really good! It kind of annoyed me when James, or whatever his name is (I think I'm going to call him Adam Lambert 2.0) was saying how AI was no place for stage moms and saying it was "unfair."

I felt so bad when Jacee got kicked out of his group. Glad he made it through!

Exactly! I mean, I know that song was given to a ton of groups but I felt like they gave it to them on purpose..I am bummed, he has a great voice and did better then the blonde. I was looking forward/hoping to seeing him in the finals. I also thought the tall girl in the black vest in the group that put Steven in the chair,( she was the one messing up his hair ) she was certainly as good as others who made it thru...

Hey guys! I finally joined the thread this season. I didn't know if I was going to watch this year or not, but I caved.

As for last night, I was so upset when Jaycee's original group kicked him out. Like are you kidding me? How can people be so cruel? I was so glad that Brett's group welcomed him with open arms. I've loved Brett from the beginning. I know he was always made fun of and picked on and I always root for people like that since I know what it's like to be in that position. I always want kids that got picked on to succeed in life. Plus, I really liked his voice. When Jaycee mentioned that he'd never even heard of that song, I was worried that he would forget his words. I'm so glad that the judges knew what happened and that he didn't get to practice much since his original group had kicked him out. And I thought it was cute that Brett got excited when they called Jaycee forward with the rest of the group. I really hope both of them make it to the top 20...I want to see both do well.

As for Jaycee's original group, I was really hoping they would all stink up the stage...especially the one with the glasses.

I love the show this season! The judges are the best so far. I feel entertained!!

those young kids did great! and i, too, am ready for the screamer to go.

i am amazed by how many of these people think they are the best ever. there is a difference between being confident and being cocky. and i don't think any of them have reason to be cocky yet.

I know that some people voluntarily left their groups, but I just don't understand how someone could be so heartless to actually kick someone out of their group...especially that late in the game. Did he ruin their vibe or something? The main one was definitely the kid in the glasses, so I hope he doesn't make it far. It did seem like the kid with the low voice (Scotty?) was genuinely upset about it. I don't think he had anything to do with the decision. So he's still ok in my book.

I actually agree - the moms should butt out - let the kids do it on their own.

I don't care how good that group was I really wish the judges would have taught them all a lesson and sent them packing.

I was surprised by some of the people who got to stay, like that entire group Spanglish. I must have been hearing something other than what the judges did because I thought they were awful.
I also think that the other girl in the group that sang to Steven should have stayed over some of the others they let move on throughout the day.


I am really liking this group of judges, I think even more than any of the others.

I don't think the judges are gonig to forget all that easily about the choice those guys made to cut Jaycee...Steven Tyler especially is one who likes people to be happy, in a good place. I would be watching my back for sure if I was anyone from that group, especially with individual songs tonight..no one else to try and pass the blame onto.
