idk i always have a soft spot for the strange/weird/odd ones considering i was one....and uhh...i still kind of am nothing wrong with being different. who wants to be like everone else, anyway?

I say that to my DD11 all the time.

Though this guy was a bit too weird to watch while singing.

I don't care about his image. I thought his personality seemed fake -- like he's trying to play up being teased to get sympathy. I could care less how he looks. He had a good voice, it was his personality I didn't care for.

well it's the same with other people using other things for sympathy. it's not different. like i said, they just need to stop with the sob stories.

obviously there were some of us..me included, that were judging the book by it's cover. I was thinking more along the lines of his voice being bad cause they were focusing so much on him and others that were with him saying how good he was.

i stopped doing that a long time ago. i learned my lesson

i'm glad you do! too many kids are taught that what's "different" is "weird/bad/wrong" and it's sad.

i'll never forget when i was watching SYTYCD two seasons ago and one girl's story was "omg my parents had to pull me out of dance class because the recession hit and they couldn't afford it anymore!! *cry cry cry*"

i was like "really??? do you know how much worse it could be??" some people's HOUSES were taken away....i mean i know it's something she loved but come on now. that's not something to use as a "sob story"
