I dunno....it's just sort of hit it's shelf life with me. I really have little interest in the singers from this year and i'm probably not going to watch next time. I do like Clay and Kelly and Ruben, but I think it'd be nice to end it now on a high note instead of doing it for another 5 years and beating it into the ground.

I've personally never been interested in this whole thing. It makes it really hard living here because of Clay Aiken and that Fantastia girl. We NEVER hear the end of it!

In fact, one of the local TV stations started their own show called "gimme the mike" and they try to find more local talent. It really ticks me off because they take away my Seinfeld time at 10:30!

growing uninterested? I've never really understood the appeal. Two of the women I work with are just rabid fans and will rearrange their whole life to be home to watch it so I've know an awful lot about it even though I've never watched it! The good part is that one woman was new to our office and it gave them something to bond over and they've become good friends. Always happy to see my office staff getting along!

Hillbeans, I have to agree.

For me, I watched it a lot the second season because I really liked Clay (here I am; a 44 year old groupie!). This past season I really didn't find a contestant that I "connected" with.

I find Amazing Race and Survivor more interesting because of the twists and turns that happen on these shows.

 I am right there with you! Liked season 1, LOVED season 2 (Clay and Rueben fan!!), was bored with season 3. I actually stopped watching it towards the end. I didn't think any of the contestants had near the talent of either first group. Then, the worst singers were being pushed through by the voters and I totally lost interest. I doubt I'll watch a 4th season.

I had the same thing happen with the Bachelor/Bachelorette shows. I used to like them a lot. Then Bob wrecked it for me! He ended up being so swarmy and it was so obvious he only did the show to further promote himself and his various projects :crazy2: . I stopped watching the show after that and haven't looked back.

I'm still a big fan of Survivor and there are a few others I really enjoy, though :D .

Actually, I'm not in the least tired of the show, I think it just depends on the singers.

Like a couple others, I watched season one and thought it was ok...Loved season two as I thought there were several on there worth supporting (big Clay fan), pretty quickly grew bored with season three. However, I still think the format of the show itself is worthwhile. I just thought they did a particularly lousy job of narrowing the field before the public started voting.

There were at least three of four singers last year that didn't belong in the same room with Fantasia, let alone sharing a stage. You can't honestly tell me that's the best that they could find.

JMO :teeth:

Didn't watch season 1. LOVED season 2. Found season 3 boring. I didn't see any real talent in season 3. There were some "good" ones, but not the kind of long lasting recording contract type talent.

I think season 3 focused to much on finding good "tv" vs. finding good talent. They probably passed over good singers because they didn't fit the "look" they wanted this year.

I sure hope season 4 is better.

Well, the way I look at it, every new season brings in a whole new bunch of people. Anything can happen. I'm sure I'll tune in because there's no way to predict what kind of talent they'll bring in.

AND, the auditions are just funny no matter what. ;)

Like many others, I quit watching toward the end of this season, too. It's especially boring when all the singers left are female ::yes::. Really, I just didn't connect with any of the top 12 this time.

Didn't watch Season 1 - Didn't miss a single episode of Season 2 -Lost interest in Season 3 when it was evident that Fantasia was going to win.

As far as I'm concerned, if they don't do something to make the voting fairer, this season may be the last - at least for me. ::yes::

I see a pattern here!! Watch season 1 with mild interest, Loved season 2(Clay fan here!!), season 3 couldn't care less who won or lost. I think they need to rethink the voting system. That might put a little more life back into the show.

I didn't watch it until this past season, so I'm not tired of it, yet. however, I do agree that they need to revamp the voting somehow.

As long as the program draws a large audience, they'll keep doing it.:D

I actually only like the audition portion of it. Once they go to the final 15, the show holds no interest for me.

I did like season 2 more than the other though, just because I thought Clay and Ruben had really great voices, but even then I just glanced through it here and there.
