I'm curious to hear from people who have participated in the new attraction, either as an auditionee/participant or audience member.

What is it like? How's the 'vybe'? If you auditioned, what was the process? In particular, I'd LOVE to get my hands on the list of 100 songs they have on the ipods in round #2!! Hair? Makeup? Coaching? Tell all! Pictures would be cool, too!

I'm looking forward to auditioning when I head over there for Spring Break!

I've got a couple of reports, as I've seen it as an audience member and did a fake audition process when I was covering it during media week.

As for auditioning, the area is pretty cool. You go backstage and listen to your choice of song on an iPod so you can practice it etc. Normally you pick your own song, but they assigned me to one since it was just a set-up thing for the media event. Here's a pic. of the area:

The real contestants have a make-up person and get some coaching. The stage is amazingly bright...they have a screen with the words, but I couldn't read 'em! I can only imagine what it would be like to actually be reading and singing them with an audience (although I'm sure most people pick a song they know so they don't really have to follow the karaoke screen).

I am not a very big AI fan but I enjoyed the attraction as a audience member. It was well done. 3 singers is a good number to sit through. While not as good as WWTBAMPI, it certainly is in the same league.
