*waves* hello you guys!! i've really missed you all!! we're all moved in and we FINALLY have the internet!! it took two weeks! however......MY computer is in the shop.....i'm not sure what's wrong with it, but certain programs of mine won't open up and certains ones will. it's very odd. anyway, for now we're using DH2B's computer. i'm still not 100% unpacked but i've been working extra hours for the past 2 weeks that i've been off, plus my birthday was last week so we've been busy with other things lol.

so how is everyone? i'm sorry i've been gone for so long. did anyone catch the latest episode of South Park where they all lost the internet?? that's EXACTLY how i felt lol.

so a LOT has happened since i last was on. they really screwed us with the closing, i told you all that. i had to call into work and i explained to my boss what happened. for the whole week she pretty much treated me like crap, and then finally at the end of last week her and the CEO of the company called me in their office and basically told me that i could have been fired for calling in......FOR CALLING IN! and they were angry that i tried to use my sick time because they "knew i wasn't sick"...isn't that crazy? it's not like i do stuff like this all the time. with the program we went with, if we didn't close on that date, then we wouldn't have closed, period. and since i've worked there for a year and a half, i've asked for 3 days off, and called in sick twice when i had the flu. that's it. my first "vacation" is next month when i get married, and it'll be almost 2 years i've been there. and i've always worked for other co-workers who needed time off, i love picking up extra hours. and they wanted to fire me over that. i was SO not happy. i explained myself to them while in the office and they KNEW i was mad. i was pretty vocal about it.

anyway, idol tour starts soon. who's going?? where are you going? i'll be at the Ohio show in September.....i can't believe i have to wait that long lol! i got the new People magazine with DC in it, it's a good read if you haven't read it yet.

ok i've gotta get going, it's almost time for dinner. talk to you all later!

It's good to see you back! Sorry your job was being such a pain. I bet you're happy to have the moving (almost) done.

I'm going to the Idol show in Tampa in August. I'll be sure to post a detailed recap.

I hope you can make it back more often now that you are relatively settled.

So i downloaded me a couple Louis Armstrong CDs and had them playing in my truck today...well when my wife got in and they started playing she looked and with the weirdest look and just said You are getting old...I love Louis Armstrong always have. I even downloaded some Ella Fitzgerald and a couple cds of all duets of the 2 of them

So my son was a unanimous pick for All-Stars....3rd year in a row....1st year in the 11-12 age group...He lead his team in hitting as a 11 year old, pitched 3 or so games and was the best 1st baseman and catcher in the league....I am waiting for his 1st HR...he came real close this season with 2 hitting the fence and one high fly ball almost floating out...its a matter of time I guess....anyway wanted to brag....Oh and his girlfriend that he has had for 3 years now is the best player on her team too...that girl is tuff and keeps him in line...She would stomp him in the ground if he acted up...LOL

Here's the true reason. It happens to us nice guys. You decide somebody is attractive based on glances from very far away. You take a crap shoot since you figure you're not going to be able to do any better and then suddenly you're Mr. Popular but you're stuck with a dog. You figure you can just wait for her to screw up which she most likely will. The problem is you have to pretend to like her until then. If he were a macho jerk he could just stop calling her and start dating somebody substantially hotter and actually famous. He's taking the nice guy route which will make him miserable but he'll survive.

This one girl we had at work one time thought this guy was hot from a distance (from the pick up window to the menuboard) but when he got closer he wasn't so hot looking. But they hooked up and eventually married. Maybe had kids but dunno; I think she wasn't working there anymore around that point....

There was this one guy I used to know who was fairly handsome but was a jerk. Mainly he was wanting to have me buy stuff like 12-pack sodas on sale saying he'd pay me back (never did and the rest of them that were here at the house, we drank!) and would talk about himself alot; including intimate topics that one doesn't divulge to strangers or those you barely know. Or some things best left talking to your doctor about whether or not you qualify for the blue pill.... He really became a big jerk after he met this chick from England and didn't like my opinion of "bad idea!". That's when he really became a 'hole and I quit talking to him after that.

Last week DC was on there a little. They showed a clip where Cook was asking Ryan Seacrest to say "Chicks Man." (Which only makes sense if you watch The Soup.)

Anyway...this week....before the "chicks man" section of the show...instead of Seacrest or the regular voice....it was David saying "Chicks man."

the movie just ended and i have no clue what it was about or anything...oh well

I spent 2 hours watching Prince Caspian and was spending the whole movie trying to figure out what the heck was going on. Why the whole plot was going on.... and not caring one whit for the child heroes of the movie. They were eh, IMO. And the boy "leader" I was kinda wishing someone would whack to put him out of our misery.

Saw Indiana Jones the other day it was very good....I was not sold on the plot but it was still good...lots of action and harrison Ford is still the man...and i will say he looked great for 62....I also really liek Shia Lebeauf

Just saw it today as a "birthday treat" and enjoyed it. The ending was a bit bizarre for an Indy movie. But I see Indy is quoting Han Solo ("I have a bad feeling about this") in one scene.

Just like every Saturday...we went over to our house. We have carpet and appliances now (and exciting stuff like toilets...haha.)

I'm bored so I'm going to share some photos.

Kitchen...and you can see the carpet in the family room.

New appliances! WOOHOO!

These are the stairs to the basement. The basement has different carpet than the main level and upper level.....(FYI: There is a door at the top of the stairs.)

This is the hallway and loft space on the upper level. I love it!

The walls look sort of yellow-ish in some of the pictures...but the color in THIS picture is more accurate....
