American Idol 7 Finale Red Carpet Thread.. David Cook Wins!

During the 4 hours of the finale...I think I tried maybe 3 or 4 calls each hour. I got busy signals so I went back to what I was doing.

But I don't understand...what do my voting habits have to do with anything? I voted for Syesha just as many times as I did DC during the top 3 episode.

I wanted to know if you voted for DC as infrequently as you voted for Brooke. And you did. I was just curious.

I liked Brooke but didn't vote for her -- or anyone -- until the last two weeks.

And I fail to see how you make the leap to that from her "pouting" the whole show. I want to know what she SAID that made you write the above statement. Or did you get her mixed up with KLC?

I don't think it's a very big leap from Brooke's comment on Larry King to me saying she made it sound like females don't vote for females. Her point (and the point of the other girls) was that the guys get more votes because they are "hot." While that may be true....I don't think that ALL people are voting based on looks. I, for one, vote for the people I think have the best vocals, best performances, and best personalities. I don't even find Michael Johns attractive at all. But I'd still vote for him over Brooke because I enjoyed his performances more.

DH and I really enjoyed Brooke. Until she started loosing it. Then it was painful to watch her.
I even voted for her a few times (along with Carley and MJ and Jason). But toward the end of the season I only voted for David Cook

I only voted a handfull of times during a few episodes later on in the season. My husband voted for Brooke more than I voted for DC.

rapid heart rate and blood pressure up.

the ticker stated the stress of david's brother adam could have caused this medical issue.

i need to google that and see what it was all about.
it might have been something in the past weeks. the ticker was vague on when it happened.

most of the ticker info was past info on the other contestants
which makes me think this was something that happened to david in the past weeks.

There was quite a bit of sarcasm in her voice. I strongly, STRONGLY doubt she'd make a comment like that in front of everybody. Judging by their reaction to her there were most definitely some inside stuff there since they all started cracking jokes when she made the comment. She was trying to make a joke about the cookies and flowers that were being sent but by the time she got to it everybody was talking all over each other. She was still smiling in the end which pretty much indicated to me that she was more amused than annoyed by it. I think she was advocating on behalf of Carly and Syesha. She never claimed to be one of the best singers.

They have to select an even number of boys and girls to perform on the show. Unfortunately they got a fantastic group of guys and the ladies had three anchors in the form of Amanda, Ramiele, and The Colonel. They didn't stand a chance even if they were better singers (Carly/Syesha) than the guys.

This season's outcome was influenced by the rabid female fans out there. Don't believe me? How many times did you ladies vote for DC? Yeah, that's what I thought.
