Season three of "American Horror Story," "Coven," premiered tonight. This season is about witches, witchcraft, witchery, and so on and so forth.

I really enjoyed the premiere. I like the overall tone the season seems to be taking. And I'm completely excited that Kathy Bates joined the cast.

What did you think? Are you a fan of the show, overall?

Feel free to discuss spoilers. So, warning: spoilers ahead.

I enjoyed it as well.Jessica Lange is so good at being bad. Love seeing old cast and new ones.

I loved it!

I hope they really get into some of the mythology of witchcraft and not just try to make it "scary" or "shocking". I feel like that was my problem last season. They tried too hard.

I was happy to see some old faces, but not happy with some them dying right away....:(

I am happy with the cast additions; I am thinking Angela Bassett will be kicking, Kathy Bates will be yummy.....I am thinking that many high quality actresses who have been passed over for movies based on a more mature age will be enjoying a resurgence of popularity.

Emma Roberts is an interesting addition, but Gabby seems like a logical choice to me for some reason. Gabby has less experience in acting then Emma, but I think she has won more awards for her acting.

I love this series and the shifts that occur with each series. Makes me happy:cheer2:

I loved it! Kathy Bates was fantastic! Jessica Lange is always "supreme" :), and it was nice to see Taissa Farmiga again. I'm not a huge Emma Roberts fan, but I thought she did a good job and I loved Gabourey Sidibe's special power. It felt like an all-girl's evil Hogwarts to me.

Those that died (are we allowed to talk specifics on this thread?) are listed in the opening credits so I think we will be seeing more of them. It seems like there is a definite undercurrent of "resurrection" this season.

I was also thrilled to see Addie back on the show and thought she did a great job with her new role.

I think we'll be seeing them again.

I loved the whole New Orleans setting and was very excited to see Kathy Bates and Angela Basset -- the group dynamic of the girls was fun as well!

Wanted to watch this year but I missed it last night. It's not ON Demand nor are they repeating it before next week. Darn!

So happy to see they are sticking with a tighter script this year. Last year, while good, had too many story lines.

I was so excited to see so many of the old cast in the first show. Last year they spread them out so I enjoyed watching trying to remember who everyone had played in the first and second season.

I agree everyone will be coming back from the dead. "Make your own boyfriend" and all like that.

So far I am loving it and cant wait for next week!!!

Loved it! I think I'm going to particularly love the relationship between Kathy Bates and Jessica Lange. Of course JL would have chemistry with a doorknob, she is just so awesome. It was also nice seeing the more intimate interaction with the cast members and not stand alone stories, like last year.

I knew in the first 5 minutes it was going to scare the pants off me. The whole bull head thing sort of clinched it for me. I had a difficult time taking my 2 dogs out alone in the dog park behind my building for their final potty... it was dark and creepy! I may have to make my husband stay up on AHS nights from now on ;)

I loved it! I'm not a fan of Emma Roberts but I hope they do more with Gabourey Sidibe. Addy was great as well:)

Finally watched it. Loved it!! Can't wait for next week. Just gotta remember to set the DVR. It was kind of hard to watch in the beginning.

I saw it her name in the opening credits. I had no idea she was in it until the opening credits:)

Oh, excellent! I confess that I hadn't checked myself. I read an article that said both she and Angela Bassett were not listed. I am glad to hear that Gabuorey, at least, was there.

I liked it, but found the opening to be super disturbing. I'll keep watching, but not right before bed so I don't have nightmares!
