American Girl question

I just ordered Marie Grace and Saige for my DD's for Xmas. Saige is on backorder until Dec 6th. I spoke to a very nice customer service rep at AG and she said I should have no problem receiving Saige by Christmas time.

I could purchase a Saige for about $30 more on Ebay right now, but I feel like I should be ok with the backorder date.

Do any of you have any experience placing an order with AG while an item is on backorder? Do you think I will receive her in time for Xmas?

I have purchased multiple items on AG site that were back ordered and I have always received them by the date it says. I think you should be ok!

Yes, I think she'll arrive with plenty of time. Every time that I have ordered something that was on backorder with AG, the order has shipped by the backorder date or before it.

I got Marie Grace half price when they had her on the Today show's 1/2 price deals. It said it was backordered too but was here within a week. I have been trying to convince my DD that's the dolls she wants by looking at the catalogue

My experience with AG and back orders is that they usually ship before the back order date. Watch your e-mails, they will send one once it ships so you can be anticipating the delivery.

Just wanted to say Thank you again for all of your responses! I just received an email from AG saying that Saige shipped today!!

The backorder date was Dec 6th, so I am pleasantly surprised it shipped so soon!!
