I got DD a Samantha doll this past Christmas since they were "retiring", "archiving", whatever you want to call it - her. Now I have actually been disappointed because she hasn't played with her all that much. However, the last week she has really started playing with her. Today she showed me her hair was coming loose. I think 6 months is way too short of timeframe to have a problem with a doll that expensive that hadn't been played with much....will they fix it without charging me? Or am I going to have to have the expense of the doll hospital?

How much hair? I believe it is normal to lose some.. especially if she is brushing it.

I have a Julie and Mia doll I am getting ready to send in. Julie did lose a lot of hair in the beginning.

I probably said that wrong. THe banding that the hair is attached to that is then attached to the doll's head is coming loose. Not just hairs themselves.

Yikes - I'd call them and talk to them. I agree that shouldn't be happening. We have Samantha, Mia, and Julie that my girls play with all the time. They can be rough at times and we have never had that happen. Good luck!!

here is my story.

bought dd Julie I believe for christmas in 2007. well within a few weeks she was shedding worse than my dog anyhow- we returned her for another one. well last fall- I noticed hair missing in patches from her scalp. called again. they were great and sent another doll out. Told me there was a batch of dolls during that time frame that had issues.. Their customer service is great!

I will definitely call them. It's almost funny - DH is in Dallas and was going to the mall where there is an AG store. He asked if I wanted him to get DD anything to which I responded "Nope....she doesn't play with Samantha now...I'm not going to spend more money on something she isn't playing with". Okay this was in the car and our Sammi was at Nanny and Poppa's. For the last week I think her Samantha doll is all she has played with
