I did a search, but found no info. on American Girl Place on L.A.
Can anyone give me any firsthand info. on the area that it is in (I have an exact address and directions.) My DDs would love to do this, but my DS12, is less than thrilled. Is there anything very close else to do? What about parking? Is there merchandise specific to this store alone, and if so, what?
I would love some info. and any other tips would be so appreciated!
Thanks!:)

I was just there yesterday! We are on vacation here in California. I can't say for sure what area it is in, because we had bad directions and no map, but I believe it was close to Beverly Hills. It's in an upscale outdoor mall called The Grove. There is a parking garage there. There is other shopping there, so if your DS doesn't mind that, he should find something to entertain him.

The store itself: I would guess that most all the merchandise there could be found on the website. There is a room for each historical doll, with their own clothes and accessories, and there is a big section of the "just like me" merchandise. The store also has a doll salon, a cafe, and a theater. My DD took her 2 dolls and bought an outfit for each of them, had both of their hair styled, and we had lunch in the cafe. You have to make reservations for the lunch.

Go to Americangirl.com, and click on American Girl Place, and choose Los Angeles, and you can get lots of good info.

The store is located in an outdoor mall called the grove.

Next to the mall is the original Farmers Market--great place to get cheap food.

The area it's in, is still considered Los Angeles. A few miles west is Beverly Hills.
