American Express GC's for Disney??

Meijer MPerks (Northern Midwest grocery chain if you're not familiar) has $10 off $100 in American Express GC's. If I bought these, could I use them at Disney World?

I've never had or used American Express nor have I ever used the credit card style gift cards so I'm really not comfortable buying them but it seems like a good deal.

A grocery store ear me just had the same offer. What they don't disclose is that each card requires a $5.95 fee, which makes it less desirable. Other than that, it just like any other giftcard. This one can be used anywhere that takes American Express.

I did something similar in Giant PA. Here's what I did:

Okay, this is going to be a lot of math, but here's how to get money for your trip to Disney for cheaper (over 15% savings). Rounding to make calculating easier.

I bought $500 Amex gift card at Giant during the 5x rewards. It should be offered again soon. That cost $506 ($500 + $6 fee) and gave me $2.50 off per gallon of gas ($2.50 x 26 gallons = $65).

I then took the $500 Amex gift card to BJs bought $525 in Disney gift cards for the entire $500 Amex gift card and $4 cash.

So, my initial $510 investment got me $525 in Disney gift cards and $65 in free gas. A savings of $80, or over 15%.

Nice savings!! These are just straight up $100 w/ $10 off. You can only get one and there's no bonus.
