Hi all,

Once again, I need advice...
Just received an offer for AMEX Blue with 0% interest for 12 months, (also good on transferred balances), my debt at the moment is 3,500, and since the card has also cash back perks, I'm tempted to apply.

Advice please...

Thanks! :goodvibes

Also take a look at what the APR will be after the 12 month period. If the APR is good for you give it a try. Just read the fine print so you know exactly what your terms will be.

I have AMEX Blue - no complaints here.

Thanks for the reply. Can I ask another question? My offer says membership rewards, but does not specify the %...I thought it was 5%, but again not stated as such.

The rewards are points per dollar spent. Some items get double points, some get one point. Then you can "buy" things with your points, again each item assigned to a point value.

Thanks!

If you think of anything else, (pros/cons), please let me know.

I have it, no complaints. I use the membership rewards for gift certificates rather than specific merchandise. For example 5000 points (1 pt per dollar) can be redeemed for a $50 gift cert for Lands End or Pottery Barn or ToysRUs, etc.

My AMEX Blue has cash rebate for x percentage of dollars charged. Plus the 5% doesn't kick in until you've chaged 6500 dollars for that year. Hope this helps. I love AMEX for the services they provide. :)

Thanks! It helps a lot. I think I will apply.

Thank you for all the relpies.

Also look at the annual fee-

I think a lot of Amex cards have annual fees that range around 80$ a year... that could offset the amount of reward points you earn-

Good Luck :thumbsup2 - I know credit cards can be tricky

I've had the Blue card for years now. No annual fee and you don't have to pay off the card every month. I used my Rewards to pay for $150 toward my iPod, plus I got 50 songs on iTunes with them. I already have enough for 50 more songs, but I think I'll start saving for something bigger again. My APR is 9.99%. Don't know what they're offering currently. It's my primary credit card and I've had nothing but great experiences with it, including using the purchase protection once when I dropped a $220 microdrive I'd just purchased - they sent me a check to buy a new one!
