American express $10 Gift Card. Who has gotten them already.

I got my card and I tried to use it as a credit card at a self serve gas station and it would not work. How are you using it to buy Target or Old Navy gift cards? Do you take it to the store and purchase a gift card?

It came with tips and said that you shouldn't use it at gas stations and restaurants as they will usually 'hold' more then you actually are charging.

I'm waiting to use mine for Disney Dollars if they ever get them again, so I can't help you.

Ok, I missed that part. I thought I saw the instructions said to use as a credit card, not a debit card. Thanks!

I used mine at a gas station but took it inside and had the clerk run $10 (only) through. He must have done something right b/c it worked!

The "rules" say something about making sure you tell the retailer ahead of time that you are using the card and that you'll pay any difference. Apparently they have to be processed differently than a regular gift card. My DH & I have two cards, plus a $24 gift card from a complaint we made to Beringer Wine. We kept buying white zinfandel and the corks were breaking. DH said it was how I used the corkscrew until he opened a bottle. Anyway, I contacted them and they sent me the gift card.

We're using the AX cards & the gift card to buy disney dollars in May. Our disney store said they'd be in May 1st. Hope so - the $44 is burning a hole in my pocket lol!

Well it's been a couple weeks since mine came, so I'm assuming it's the only one that's coming. Still, $10 is $10
