Paul, what did you think of the extra few inches of seat pitch. i am led to believe the seat pitch is about 34 in, does it make much difference to passenger comfort?

Also what was the intereior of the plane like, old/new couldn't tell?

Hi Gumshoe,

I am sure I read that this was a new route starting in November so no confirmation on the exact planes as yet. We are planning to fly this route in Feb so are also interested to find out! The AA website says they will be flying boeing 763's with a 2/3/2 configuration. They also say that they currently only have seatback TV's on the 777's so I would guess that we will have to make do with a main screen.

We have flown with AA to Orlando via Chicago before from Manchester and it was a 747 with no seat backs - good flight though and those couple of extra inches do make a difference.

For information on seating and availability take a look at their website at www.americanairlines.co.uk they have a facility where you can look at the available seating for your flight.

According to my Manchester Airport newsletter, they are starting in the first week of November, so nobody has experienced it yet!

I'm sure AA will be great. They sell their extra legroom and as I understad it all the big US carriers are very good. I've only used Continental a couple of times but I've been very pleased with them. Much better than Virgin.
