TIA:)

I have flown in most of the Major airlines and they all seem to be the same to me. Personally I go by who I get the best price from and that's who I fly with.

Thanks for the replys:) Checking reviews on the "Net" they have not been very good so it's still will i won't i:)

We have flown with them a couple of times, decent enough, nothing outstanding but nothing to make me not want to fly with them again. I would say this about all airlines in economy though, I don't think there is really anything to set them apart, it's the price I look at.

The only thing to take into account is as with most American carriers, on board drinks are charged for, whereas eg BA and Virgin still offer complimentary beverages.

Have flown American several times and would fly with them in preference to Virgin any day.

However, the transatlantic route we used to fly (Manchester to Chicago) on a 767 is now a 757. And I do not like 757s for long-haul. So we haven't flown with them since that change of aircraft.

They are comparable to BA in cattle class; the only difference being that you have to pay for alcohol (we don't drink on flights anyway) but the food is edible :thumbsup2

Gotta love any airline that serves pizza for tea AND serves you a drink in a full-sized can :woohoo:

Have flown with them several times and will continue to book with them as they are half the cost of BA for us. They also have interactive TV sets even on their older planes. We also like the 2-5-2 seating arrangement they operate on most flights as it means neither of us have to sit next to anyone. Unlike BA, they don't charge you to pick your seat either.

Yip, I couldnt have put it better myself, although I ordered a veggie meal there was NOTHING for me to eat on my la to lond flight which was annoying but not a deal breaker.
As long as the flight is on time thats what suits me.!!! Virgin has been the worst but needs must and I am with them again next year, but air lingus this year.

ps I do like the big shiny silver ones to look at though:3dglasses
