What I don't understand is how you anti-gay marriage people are trying to defend the 'sanctity of marriage' and that means that gay people aren't allowed to be married. But straight people can be married and divorced MULTIPLE times and that's 'OKAY'.

I understand and respect the churches right to refuse to marry a gay couple, but PLEASE explain WHAT is so WRONG with a civil union????

The people who work at DLR are waayyyy worse with handicapped people. I remember when I went for my graduation I rented a scooter because I have a disability and my cousin is really heavy set. We both tire really, really quickly, so it was really nice to always have somewhere to sit. We always got out of the scooter when we got into lines though cause there's no reason for us to not stand in line. The parking for scooters in the peter pan's flight though are in this hallway. I was having trouble getting the scooter turned around in the hallway and the people working LAUGHED at me and said, "what a gimp, she can't even drive her scooter". I started crying, and was glad these people and their family helped me but I wrote a pretty nasty letter at city hall about the two girls working that ride.

Shelton...do you know how RARE it is for a doctor to use a USED needle or inject someone with unclean blood? Or for aids to be past by shaking someone's hand with a cut? Lemme answer those questions for you: EXTREMELY rare. In 2006, 36353 people were infected with aids by sexual contact or drug use in the united states. 437 cases were hemophilia, blood transfusion, perinatal exposure, or risks not known about.

Obviously my disease doesn't have that many people dying from it seeing as it cannot be transfered by any method but perinatally. Seeing the numbers I showed you, the disease in most cases can be prevented. If people weren't raping virgin african women thinking it's going to cure them of the disease, making them pregnant, and then birthing a child with aids the numbers of people with aids would drop drastically.

I think before you even have SEX with anyone you should be tested for any and all STDS, so your last scenario just screams of two really, really stupid people.

ugh, some ignorant kids in my class starting harassing me today because i said i support gay marriage in history class. i'm so angry about this it's outrageous. gay marriage should be legal in every state.

Whoever told you that they couldn't adopt children was lying to you. This amendment is probably the worst one that could possibly exist, but it could get worse. Single straight people are allowed to adopt, so if gay people were unable to it would automatically be declared unconstitutional.

It is unconstitutional but thats whats happening...They are taking all rights away from gays...Talk about inequality...

Not in Arkansas. Their amendment passed stated that no single parent could adopt. It's a shame they'd rather have children living unhappily in an orphanage rather than with a single parent and happy.
