Before it goes away, we're hoping to hit a show there while we're in the area.

How do I find out what's showing?

Where is it located exactly in DTD?

Will they take Disney gift cards there or cash?

TIA

Can't help with most of the questions, however I can tell you where it is :)

Its near the far end of Downtown Disney, next to Earl of Sandwich. If you've reached DLH, you went too far.

No to Disney gift cards and honestly it isn't a very good theater, seats, screens and sound system are all old and dated. They don't have recliner seats and no fork and screen dining.

I took the grandkids to see Moana on one trip.
There were very few people in the theater.
I felt the seats were very comfy.... I napped thru some of the movie.

We enjoy the late showings at the AMC. The cinemas are rarely crowded then. It is easy to find seats with a good view. Then we go to the nearby Starbucks (by the Lego Store) afterward. For certain showings, they used to give an AP discount. Not sure if this is still offered.

We watched a movie there one afternoon on our trip. My husband and I were the only people in the theater. It was an R-rated movie though.

No Disney gift cards. AMC gift cards and movie vouchers are accepted.

AMC used to have a great pass deal at Costco with the AMC Gold pass. I remember it was something like $15-16 for two and they never expired. There might have been some "premium" locations with a surcharge, but those were in really expensive places like Manhattan. I'm not sure Downtown Disney would qualify.

Not quite sure why they discontinued them. Could be the new owners, although I heard something about Disney objecting to the terms in which they got paid for pass admission.

I found some places that are selling AMC Gold passes online, but they seem to be going for at least $20 each. I don't remember any AMC theater charging more than maybe $15 regular admission.

I just used my AMC gold passes there last week.

The do give a discount for AP holders, seniors too. We always see at least one movie when we go to Disneyland during the afternoon to avoid the crowds and heat. The air conditioned building is chilly.

That's good to know. I'm getting an AP, so we'll make our movie night after I have that in my hand! The kids are telling me what movie we're seeing - Coco! I might go again for Thor if it's still showing.

When did you get them? Costco hasn't had them in years. All I see now is some strange gift card system where I think you need to go to some website and where there is a transaction charge. Online, Costco has AMC's yellow or black, which includes restrictions. I don't quite get all the terms though.

I think they are phasing out gold and silver tickets in favor of the new green, red, and black tickets which have more rules and restrictions. I've been buying my gold tickets from AAA for the last couple years since Costco stopped selling them. I kind of assume that they will disappear from my AAA office eventually. I don't know if they are a AAA exclusive or simply old stock that my office hasn't run through yet.
