Ambience!!

Hi All!

One of my "Disney Dreams" is to have dinner with my husband at the Blue Bayou in DL. I just love the ambience of the restaurant (and of course it helps that POTC is one of my fave rides!)

Our kids are teens now so we can slip away for dinner just the two of us and since we'll be at WDW, not DL, our next trip what restaurant do you all think comes close to the Blue Bayou for that Disney atmosphere?

I think San Angel Inn - try to get near the river.

I would agree with San Angel. Food wasn't the best I've ever had, but still pretty good (in fact it was so dark that you could barely see it), but we were able to get a table on the railing, and the ambiance was very nice. Really makes you think you're eating under the stars.

I just thought of another one that my wife and I enjoyed for the ambiance, but this was a few years ago. While waiting for a table for the House of Blues, they told us to go around back of the restaurant and there's an outdoor sitting area right on the water. It was secluded and very nice. We only had drinks there, so I can't remember if you can eat out there or not. We wished we would have stayed out there as opposed to going inside when our table was ready, as it was a nice night and nice scenery with DTD all lit up along the water.

I, too, love the Blue Bayou! I wish they would put one at WDW too...

I would agree with the previous posters. The San Angel Inn would be a good choice for that kind of ambience!
