Yes she did and she said she passed but law enforcement has not released that info so we are not sure if she passed or not.

Why is it that a 25 year old MAN has a 17 year old girl for a girlfriend?...I find THAT a little "off". I'm wondering that she was also likely his girlfriend when she was 16..and that's even legal..so to speak. Kind of weird. Wouldn't want to be this girls parents having their daughter involved with this situation. Sounds like drugs are playing a role in what's going on here. The so called "step-mother" is no more than a kid herself.
Anyone taken a lie detector test?....If dad had nothing to do with it, I'd think he'd be first in line, so as to get himself cleared and out of the way, so that the police could focus on others. I'm just sayin'....

I agree - sad and upsetting. The whole thing seems strange. As somebody else said, it's a huge coincidence that she happened to wake up just in time to meet him on the porch to tell him the girl was missing and hadn't called police.

Very dysfunctional and a sad way for kids to be living.

I agree that a 25yo man has no business with a 17yo girlfriend, but I really don't think pressing charges against the dad right now for that would help anyone or anything. The focus should be on Hayleigh.

I have a bad feeling about this one - I hope I am wrong.

I also believe the GF knows more than what she is saying. I think she possibly left the kids there alone for a little while and when she got back, Hayleigh was gone and she is too scared to say that. I hope they find out the truth and bring this little girl home soon.

Very strange. I'm sorry but this poor baby is living with trash. No one seems to have had her best interests at heart. I saw the dad responding to questions as to whether he ever hit his daughter. He responded that he hit her the way child protective services indicate a child can be reprimanded..with an open hand on the butt. Seemed a strange reply. It appeared to me that child protective services might have had prior contact with him. Maybe someone has previously complained that he wasn't the ideal parent, and it was investigated.
Where is the child's mother in all of this?..and does anyone know how old she is? Sorry ...for all the questions, but I'm not seeing much reported on this any more.

I've said that all along. I don't have a good feeling about this case either, someone in that family isn't telling the truth.

She doesn't live in FL, I think she lives in TN? They had her on Nancy Grace last week. She's very young, like the Dad. I actually think they used to be married? She came off to me like she didn't like the Dad's 17 yo girlfriend and she kind of felt like it was all that girl's fault. I think she's been in FL since this has happened though.

Local news as said that law enforcement officials will not prosecute the dad over his relationship with the 17 year old girlfriend now. The focus needs to be on the child. However, charges could be issued against him down the line.

When we were at WDW last week the news said mom was not in town. I heard some of the interview with her. I could not believe how much she does NOT know about her child!! While I think that the whole 17yr old gf thing is over the top, the dad seems to be the better parent of the two.
I just have a really bad feeling about this situation. I pray she is found safe, but I am not counting on it. I think the gf knows more then she is letting on.

No, the father had full custody and the mother had a weekend or every other weekend type of visitation.

I didn't know the Mom had another baby until I saw her myspace.

In the 911 call, Misty says she was cleaning when Haleigh went missing. Then she went back and said sleeping.

I heard the Dad's Mother say on Nancy Grace that Halleigh and her little brother really love the GF like a Mom. His family really likes the GF and doesn't seem to think that she could have done anything wrong. Then later on, same interview the Dad's Mom says the couple have been together 3 months. Hmm I guess 3 months is a long time in kid time!
Strange story.
